16 – Fraction for the Maundy Thursday

And it came to pass, in the days when God wanted to test Abraham and know his heart and his love for Him.

Ac]wpi de 'en ni`e\oou `eta V; ouw] `eswnt `nAbraam> ouo\ `ntef`emi `epef\ht nem pefmei `e'oun `erof.

وحدث في الأيام التي أراد الله فيها أن يجرب إبراهيم ويعلم قلبه ومحبته فيه.

He said to him, “Abraham, Abraham, take your beloved son Isaac, and offer him to Me a burnt offering, upon the mountain which I tell you of.”

Ouo\ pejaf naf je Abraam Abraam> si `mpekmenrit `n}hri Icaak ouo\ `anitf nhi `nou`slil> \ijen pitwou `e;natamok `erof.

أن قال له إبراهيم إبراهيم، خذ ابنك الحبيب اسحق وقدمه لي محرقة علي الجبل الذي أعلمك به.

And Abraham rose up in the morning, saddled his donkey, took two servants and Isaac his son, he took a knife and fire, walked on the earth, and saw from afar the place which the Lord told him.

Aftwnf de `nje Abraam `ntoou`i> ouo\ af'wk `ntef`e`w> afsi de `n`alou `cnau nem Icaak pef]hri> afsi `noujor; nem ou`xrwm> afmo]i `ebol \ijen pika\i> ouo\ afnau `epima \i `vouei `eta ~P_ tamof `erof.

فقام إبراهيم باكراً وأسرج دابته، وأخذ غلامين واسحق ابنه، وأخذ سكيناً وناراً ومشي علي الأرض، فرأي الموضع من بعيد الذي أعلمه به الرب.

And he said to his servants, “You remain in this place with the donkey. I and Isaac, my son, shall go to worship and return to you.”

Ouo\ pejaf `nnef`alwou`i> je \emci `nqwten `mpaima nem ;`e`w> `anok de nem Icaak pa]hri tenna]enan `ntenouw]t ouo\ `ntentacqo \arwten.

فقال لغلاميه اجلسا أنتما ههنا مع الدابة، وأما أنا واسحق ابني فنذهب ونسجد ثم نرجع إليكما.

And Abraham took the firewood for the burnt offering, laid it upon Isaac his son, and took the fire in his hand, and the knife.

Afsi de `nje Abraam `nnirwk\ `nte pi`slil> ouo\ aftalwou `ejen Icaak pef]hri> afsi de `mpi`xrwm 'en tefjij nem ;jor;.

وأخذ إبراهيم حطب المحرقة ووضعه علي اسحق ابنه، وأخذ بيده النار والسكين.

And Isaac spoke to his father, saying, “My father, behold the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb which we shall offer as a burnt offering?” And Abraham said to him, “God Who commanded us to offer to Him a sacrifice, He will provide for Himself a lamb for the burnt offering, my son.”

فقال اسحق لأبيه: يا أبتاه، هوذا النار والحطب، وأين الخروف الذي نقدمه للمحرقة؟ فقال له إبراهيم: إن الله الذي أمرنا أن نقدم له ذبيحة هو يري حملاً له للمحرقة يا ابني.

And Abraham tool stones, built and altar, took the firewood and laid it on the altar, took Isaac his son, bound him and laid him on the altar, and took the knife to slay him.

Afsi de `n\an`wni `nje Abraam> afkwt `noumaner]wou]i> afsi `nnirwk\ aftalwou \ijen pimaner]wou]i> ouo\ afsi `nIcaak pef]hri afcon\f aftalof `e`\rhi `ejen pimaner]wou]i> afsi `n;jor; `e'el'wlf.

وأخذ إبراهيم حجارة وبني مذبحاً، وأخذ الحطب ورفعه علي المذبح، وأخذ اسحق ابنه وربطه ووضعه علي المذبح وأخذ السكين ليذبحه.

And the angel of the Lord called Abraham, saying to him, “Abraham, Abraham, behold touch not your lad, nor do him any harm.

Ouo\ `a piaggeloc `nte ~P_ mou; oube Abraam efjw `mmoc naf> je Abraam Abraam `a nau> `mperso\ `mpek`alou oude `mper`iri naf `noupet\wou.

ونادى ملاك الرب إبراهيم قائلاً له: إبراهيم إبراهيم، أنظر لا تلمس فتاك ولا تصنع به شراً.

When the Lord saw your love for Him, He said, ‘I am the Lord your God. By Myself I have sworn that in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your seed.”

Etafnau `nje ~P_ `epekmei `e'oun `erof> ouo\ pejaf de `anok pe ~P_ Peknou;> aiwrk `mmoi je 'en ou`cmou ei`e`cmou `erok> ouo\ 'en ou`a]ai ei`e`qre pek`jroj `a]ai.

لما نظر الرب محبتك فيه قال: إني أنا هو الرب إلهك أقسمت بذاتي إني بالبركة أباركك، وبالكثرة أكثر نسلك.

And Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw a ram, laid upon the tree, bound by its horns. So he left Isaac his son and took the ram, offered it up for a burnt offering instead of him.

Ouo\ affai `nnefbal `nje Abraam> afnau `eou`ecwou efxh \ijen pi`]]hn efmhr 'en peftap `enau> ouo\ afxw `nIcaak pef]hri afsi `mpi`ecwou> ouo\ afenf `e`\rhi `nou`slil `ntef]ebi`w.

فرفع إبراهيم عينيه فنظر خروفاً عند الشجرة موثقاً بقرنيه، فترك اسحق ابنه وأخذ الخروف واصعده محرقة عوضاً عنه.

Thus, the slaying of Isaac was a type of the shedding of the Blood of Christ, the Son of God, on the cross, for the salvation of the world.

P'ol'el de `nIcaak ne ouswrem pe `epivwn `ebol `m`p`cnof `nte Pi`xrictoc ~P]hri `mV; \ijen pi`ctauroc eqbe `poujai `mpikocmoc.

فذبح اسحق كان إشارة إلى هرق دم المسيح ابن الله علي الصليب عن خلاص العالم.

And as Isaac carried the firewood for the burnt offering, likewise Christ carried the wood of the cross.

Ouo\ kata `vrh; `eta Icaak `wli `nnirwk\ `nte pi`slil> pairh; af`wli `nje Pi`xrictoc `mpi]e `nte pi`ctauroc.

وكما حمل اسحق حطب المحرقة، كذلك حمل المسيح خشبة الصليب.

And as Isaac returned alive, likewise Christ rose living, from the dead, and appeared to His holy disciples.

Ouo\ kata `vrh; `eta Icaak tacqo efon'> pairh; \wf Pi`xrictoc aftwnf `ebol'en nheqmwout ouo\ afouon\f `nnef`agioc `mmaqhthc.

وكما رجع اسحق حياً، هكذا أيضاً المسيح قام حياً من الأموات وظهر لتلاميذه القديسين.

O God, Who accepted the sacrifice of our father Abraham, receive this sacrifice from our hands in this hour. Bless these gifts, bless those on whose behalf they have been offered, and repose the souls of those who died. May Christ bless the hearts and spirits of us all.

اللهم يا من قبل ذبيحة أبينا إبراهيم، اقبل هذه الذبيحة منا في هذه الساعة . بارك هذه القرابين، بارك الذين قدمت عنهم، نيح نفوس الأموات. فليبارك المسيح علي قلوبنا وأرواحنا.

So that, with a pure heart, an enlightened soul, an unashamed face, a faith unfeigned, a perfect love, and a firm hope.

Je \ina 'en ou\ht efouab> nem ouyuxh `eacsiouwini> nem ou\o `natsi]ipi> nem ouna\; `natmet]obi> nem ou`agaph cejhk `ebol> nem ou\elpic ectajrhout.

لكي بقلب طاهر ونفس مستنيرة، وإيمان بلا رياء، ومحبة كاملة، ورجاء ثابت.

We may dare with boldness, without fear, to pray to Thee, O God, the Holy Father, Who are in the heavens, and say:

~Ntenertolman 'en ouparrhci`a `nater\o;> `etwb\ `mmok V; ~Viwt `eqouab et 'en nivhou`i ouo\ `ejoc>

نجسر بدالة بغير خوف أن ندعوك يا الله الآب القدوس الذي في السموات ونقول:

Our Father …

Je Peniwt ...

أبانا الذى ...
