Prayer of the Descent of the Holy Spirit

Worship God in fear and trembling.

اسجدوا لله بخوف ورعدة.

The congregation bows down and says

We praise Thee, we bless Thee, we serve Thee and we worship Thee.

نسبحك نباركك نخدمك ونسجد لك.

The priest says the Prayer of the Descent of the Holy Spirit inaudibly

And we ask Thee, O Lord, our God, we, Thy sinful and unworthy servants.

نسألك أيها الرب إلهنا نحن عبيدك الخطاة غير المستحقين.

We worship Thee by the pleasure of Thy goodness.

Tenouw]t `mmok `ebol\iten `p;ma; `nte tekmet`agaqoc.

نسجد لك بمسرة صلاحك.

That Thine Holy Spirit descend.

Eqre Pek`pneuma `eqouab `i `e`'rhi.

وليحل روحك القدوس.

The priest points to himself, then towards the bread and says

Upon us and upon these gifts set forth, and purify them, change them and manifest them as a sanctification of Thy saints.

Ejwn nem `ejen naidwron nai etxh `e`'rhi> ouo\ `nteftoubwou> ouo\ `ntefouoqbou ouo\ `ntefouon\ou `ebol euouab `nte nh`eqouab `ntak.

علينا وعلى هذه القرابين الموضوعة ويطهرها وينقلها ويظهرها قدساً لقديسيك.

Let us attend. Amen.

ننصت. آمين.

The congregation stands up. The priest signs the bread three times while its on the paten and says

And this bread he makes into his Holy Body.

Ouo paiwik men `ntefaif `ncwma efouab `ntaf.

وهذا الخبز يجعله جسداً مقدساً له.

The congregation bows down and says

I believe.

The priest says inaudibly

Our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

ربنا وإلهنا ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح.

Given for the remission of sins and eternal life to those who shall partake of him.

يعطى لغفران الخطايا وحياة أبدية لمن يتناول منه.

The priest signs the chalice three times and says

And this cup also, into the precious Blood of his new covenant.

وهذه الكأس أيضاً دماً كريماً للعهد الجديد الذى له.

The congregation bows down and says

Again, I believe.

وأيضاً اؤمن.

The priest says inaudibly

Our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

ربنا وإلهنا ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح.

Now the bread and the grape wine are transformed to the body and the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then the congregation stands up and says
