Prayer of the Veil to the Son

The priest may choose to say the following Prayer for the Veil instead. The priest says inaudibly

Yet again we ourselves return to Thee, O good God, by approaching Thine Holy Altar, and we beseech Thee, O Eternal Logos.

Eti on tentacqo `mmon \arok V; pi`agaqoc> \iten penjin'wnt `epekmaner]wou]i `eqouab> ouo\ ten;\o `erok Pilogoc `naidioc.

Purify us at this time that we might come to Thee.

Matoubon 'en painau vai `etennhou \arok `mmof.

Thou art the One who, without alteration, came to us in His flesh. And Thou hast filled everything with Thine unconfinable divinity.

~Nqok 'a vh`etaf`i ]aron 'en tefcar[ `nat]ib;> ouo\ akmo\ `m`pthrf 'en tekmeqnou; `nat]orfc `e'oun.

May the bitterness of envy which is full of blemish, and the stench of detestable slander, be far from us.

Marefouei cabol `mmon `nje pien]a]i eqme\ `nasni `nte pi`vqonoc> nem pi`cqoibwn `nte ;katalali`a et`wreb.

Cleanse our hearts from every defilement, and our souls from every evil and our bodies from every uncleanness.

Matoubo `nnen\ht `ebol\a qwleb niben> nem nenyuxh `ebol\a kaki`a niben> nem nencwma `ebol\a sw'em niben.

And send to us the precious gift of Thine Holy Spirit, so that we might come near Thine Holy Altar.

Ouo\ ouwrp nan `e`'rhi `n;xorhgi`a `nte Pek`pneuma `eqouab> \ina `nten`i `ejen pekquciacthrion `eqouab.

That we may accomplish this service before Thee according to Thy will.

Ouo\ `ntenjwk `ebol `mpai]em]i kata peqranak `mpek`mqo.

And may our sacrifice be acceptable before Thee, for the forgiveness of our sins, and as a glory of Thine Holy Name.

For Thou art generous toward everyone who asks of Thee.

And Thou art the One to whom is due the Kingdom, the authority and the worship, with Thy Good Father and the Holy Spirit.

Ouo\ `nqok petecer`prepi nak `nje ;metouro nem ;`e[ouci`a nem ;`prockunhcic> nem Pekiwt `n`agaqoc> nem Pi`pneuma `eqouab.

Now, and at all times, and unto the ages of all ages. Amen.

Then the priest says the three long prayers of the Peace, Fathers and Congregation as shown in the Liturgy of Saint Basil. Then the congregation says the Orthodox Creed.
