Prayer of Reconciliation for the Son

The priest stands in front of the sanctuary facing the east while holding the censer, asks the deacon to start the prayer and says

Pray.

Stand up for prayer.

للصلاة قفوا.

The priest looks towards the congregation and says

Peace be with all.

السلام للكل.

And with your spirit.

ولروحك أيضا.

Priest

O Thou Who exists, Who was existing, Who is lasting forever; the Eternal, the One in Essence, the Co-Equal and Co-Creator with the Father.

Vhet]op vh`enaf]op> vheqmhn `ebol ]a`ene\> piaidioc> ouo\ `n`omooucioc> ouo\ `ncun`qronoc> ouo\ `n`]vhr `ndumiourgoc nem ~Viwt.

أيها الكائن الذى كان الدائم إلى الأبد. الذاتى والمساوى والجليس. والخالق مع الآب.

Who, for the sake of goodness only, formed man out of what existed not, and put him in the paradise of joy.

Vh`ete eqbe oumet`agaqoc `mmauatc> `ebol'en vh`ete naf]op an ak`qref]wpi `nje `vrwmi> ouo\ akxaf 'en piparardicoc `nte `pounof.

الذى من أجل الصلاح وحده مما لم يكن كونت الإنسان وجعلته فى فردوس النعيم.

And when he fell, through the guile of the enemy and disobedience of Thine holy commandment, and Thou desiredst to renew him, and to restore him to his first estate.

Neither an angel, nor and archangel, nor a patriarch, nor a prophet, have Thou chargedst with our salvation.

لا ملاك ولا رئيس ملائكة ولا رئيس آباء ولا نبى إئتمنتهم على خلاصنا.

But Thou, without change, were incarnate and became man, and resembled us in everything, save for sin only.

بل أنت بغير إستحالة تجسدت وتأنست. وأشبهتنا فى كل شئ ما خلا الخطية وحدها.

And Thou becamest for us a Mediator with the Father; and the middle wall Thou hast broken down, and the old enmity Thou hast abolished.

وصرت لنا وسيطاً مع الآب. والحاجز المتوسط نقضته. والعداوة القديمة هدمتها.

وأصلحت الأرضيين مع السمائيين وجعلت الإثنين واحداً. وأكملت التدبير بالجسد.

And at Thine ascension into the heavens in the body, having filled all with Thy Divinity.

وعند صعودك إلى السموات جسدياً إذ ملأت الكل بلاهوتك.

Thou said to Thine holy disciples and apostles:

قلت لتلاميذك ورسلك القديسين.

“My peace I give to you, My peace I leave with you.”

سلامى أعطيكم. سلامى أنا أترك لكم.

The same grant us now also, O our Master.

Qai on ;nou `ari`\mot `mmoc nan pennhb.

هذا أيضاً الآن أنعم به لنا يا سيدنا.

And cleanse us from all blemishes, all guile, all hypocrisy, all evil, all malice, and the remembrance of evil entailing death.

وطهرنا من كل دنس. ومن كل غش. ومن كل رياء. ومن كل شر. ومن كل مكيدة. ومن تذكار الشر الملبس الموت.
