The Second Supplication

The priest says the following supplications and the congregation would reply after every phrase saying “Lord have mercy.” The priest holds the corporals in both of his hands as it was before and says

Healing to the sick; rest to the needy.

Ououjai `nnhet]wni> ou`mton `nnhet]at.

شفاء للمرضى. راحة للمعوزين.

Release to those in captivity; acceptance to the orphans.

Oubwl `ebol `nnhet 'en nie [oricti`a> oumetref]wp `erok `nniorvanoc.

إطلاقا للذين فى السبى. قبولاً للأيتام.

Help to the widows; those who are distressed, satisfy with good things.

Oumetref;totou `nnixhra> nhet\ej\wj rw]i `erwou `epi`agaqon.

مساعدة للأرامل. المتضايقين أكفهم بالخيرات.

The fallen do Thou raise; the upright, confirm.

Nh`etau\ei mata\wou `eratou> nhet`o\i `eratou matajrwou.

الساقطين أقمهم. القيام ثبتهم.

Those who have fallen asleep, remember them; those who are in confession, accept unto Thee their prayers.

Nh`etauenkot `aripoumeu`i> nhet 'en ;`omologi`a ]wp `erok `nnoutwb\.

الراقدين أذكرهم. المعترفين إقبل إليك طلباتهم.

The sinners who have repented, count them with Thy faithful; Thy faithful, count with Thy martyrs.

Nirefernobi `etauermetanion `opou nem nekpictoc> nekpictoc `opou nem nekmarturoc.

الخطاة الذين تابوا عدهم مع مؤمنيك. مؤمنيك عدهم مع شهدائك.

Those who are in this place, make them conformable to Thine angels.

Nhet 'en paima `aritou eutenqwnt `enekaggeloc.

الذين ههنا إجعلهم متشبهين بملائكتك.

And we, also, who have been called by Thy grace into Thy service, while unworthy, accept us unto Thee.

ونحن أيضاً المدعوين بنعمتك إلى خدمتك ونحن غير مستحقين إقبلنا إليك.
