Prayer for the Servant

The priest says inaudibly and calmly

Remember, O Lord, my weak and wretched soul.

أذكر يا رب نفسى الضعيفة الشقية.

And grant me to understand the magnitude of my standing before Thine holy altar.

Ouo\ mhic nhi `ntaka; je ou pe ;metni]; `nte pajin`o\i `erat `epekquciacthrion `eqouab.

وامنحنى أن أفهم ما هو عظم قيامى أمام مذبحك المقدس.

Remove from me all pleasures of ignorance and those of youth.

Ouo\ jwji `ebol \aroi `n\udonh niben `nte ;metat`emi nem na ;met`alou.

واقطع عنى كل لذات الجهل والصبا.

That this may not be a burden in my defense on that fearful judgment day.

|ina `ntef`]tem]wpi nhi `nje vai `nouetvw> 'en ;`apologi`a `nte pi`e\oou `nte pi\ap etoi `n\o; `ete`mmau.

لكى لا يكون لى هذا ثقلاً فى جواب يوم ذلك الدين المرهوب.

Deliver me from all works of the adverse powers.

Ouo\ na\met `ebol\a `energi`a niben `nte ;jom `nantikimenoc.

ونجنى من كل أفعال القوات المضادة.

And destroy me not for my sins; nor be angry forever, reserving me my evils.

Ouo\ `mpertakoi nem na`anomi`a> oude `nnek`mbon ]a `ene\> `ntek`are\ `enapet\wou nhi.

ولا تهلكنى بأثامى. ولا تحقد إلى الأبد فتحفظ لى شرورى.

But show me also Thy goodness in me and save me, the unworthy, according to Thy great mercy towards me.

Alla matamoi \w `etekmet`agaqoc `n'ht> ouo\ na\met 'a piat`m`p]a> kata peknai eto] `e`\rhi `ejwi.

بل أرنى أنا أيضاً صلاحك فىّ. ونجنى أنا غير المستحق ككثرة رحمتك.

The priest says loudly in the old tune of Moses

That I may bless Thee at all times, all the days of my life.

لكى أباركك كل جين جميع أيام حياتى.
