Prayer of the Bread Offering

While the congregation says “Saved, Amen…,” the priest says the prayer of the bread offering inaudibly

Master, Lord Jesus Christ, the co-eternal Logos of the unblemished Father who is of one essence with him and the Holy Spirit.

أيها السيد الرب يسوع المسيح الشريك الذاتى وكلمة الآب غير الدنس المساوى له مع الروح القدس.

For Thou art the living bread which came down from heaven.

~Nqok gar pe piwik eton' `etaf`i `epecht `ebol'en `tve.

أنت هو الخبز الحى الذى نزل من السماء.

And Thou did aforetime make Thyself a Lamb without spot, for the life of the world.

Ouo\ aker]orp `nxak `nou\ihb `natasni> `e`\rhi `ejen `pwn' `pikocmoc.

سبقت أن تجعل ذاتك حملاً بلا عيب عن حياة العالم.

We ask and entreat Thy Goodness, O Lover of mankind.

Tne;\o ouo\ tentwb\ `ntemet`agaqoc pimairwmi.

نسأل ونطلب من صلاحك يا محب البشر.

The priest points with his hand to the bread set before him on the paten and says

Show Thy face upon this bread.

Ouwn\ `mpek\o `e`\rhi `ejen paiwik vai.

اظهر وجهك على هذا الخبز.

The priest points to the grape wine set before him in the chalice and says

And upon this cup.

Nem `ejen pai `avot vai.

وعلى هذه الكأس.

Then he continues

Which we have set upon.

Nai `etanxau `e`'rhi `ejen.

هذين اللذين وضعناهما علي.

The priest points to the altar and says

This, Thy priestly table.

Tai`trapeza `nieratikh `ntak qai.

هذه المائدة الكهنوتية التى لك.

The priest signs the bread and the grape wine together with the sign of the cross three times. In the first time, he says

Bless them.

Cmou `erwou.

باركهما.

In the second time, he says

Sanctify them.

Ari`agi`a zin `mmwou.

قدسهما.

In the third time, he says

Purify them and change them.

Matoubwou ouo\ ouoqbou.

طهرهما وانقلهما.

The priest points with his hand to the bread and says

In order that this bread, on the one hand may become indeed Thine holy Body.

|ina paiwik men `ntef]wpi `nqof pe pekcwm `eqouab.

لكى هذا الخبز يصير جسدك المقدس.

The priest points with his hand to the grape wine in the chalice and says

And the mixture on the other hand, which is in this cup, indeed Thy precious Blood.

Piqwt de et 'en pai`avot `nqof pi pek`cnof ettaihout.

وهذا المزيج الذى فى هذه الكأس يصير دمك الكريم.

The priest continues

And may they become for all of us a partaking, healing, and salvation of our souls, our bodies and our spirits.

Ouo\ marou]wpi nan throu eumetanalumyic nem outalso nem oucwthri`a> `nte nenyuxh nem nencwma nem nen`pneuma.

وليكونا لنا جميعاً ارتقاء وشفاء وخلاصاً لأنفسنا وأجسادنا وأرواحنا.

For Thou art our God and glory is due unto Thee with Thy Good Father and the Holy Spirit, the Life-Giver who is of one essence with Thee.

Je `nqok gar pe Pennou;> `ere pi`wou er`prepi nak> nem Pekiwt `n`agaqoc nem Pi`pneuma `eqouab `nreftan'o ouo\ `n`omooucioc nemak.

لأنك أنت هو إلهنا الذى يليق بك المجد مع أبيك الصالح والروح القدس المحيى المساوى لك.

Now, and at all times, and unto the age of all ages. Amen.

الآن وكل أوان وإلى دهر الدهور كلها آمين.
