Thou art the merciful God, the Saviour of everybody, who was incarnated for our salvation and became the light for us who are sinners.

Who fasted for us forty days and forty nights in indescribable secrecy.

الذي صام عنا أربعين يوماً وأربعين ليلة بسر لا ينطق به.

Who rescued us from death and gave us His holy body and honoured blood for the forgiveness of our sins.

الذي أنقذنا من الموت وأعطانا جسده المقدس ودمه الكريم لغفران خطايانا.

Who spoke to the multitudes of His saintly disciples and honoured apostles saying, “This is the bread of life which came down from Heaven. Unlike your fathers who ate the manna in the wilderness and died.

الذي كلم الجمع وتلاميذه القديسين ورسله الأطهار قائلاً: هذا هو خبز الحياة الذي نزل من السماء، ليس كما أكل آباؤكم المن فى البرية وماتوا.

Whoever eats My body and drinks My blood will live forever, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

من يأكل جسدى ويشرب دمي يحيا إلي الأبد وأنا أقيمه فى اليوم الأخير.

For this we ask and entreat Thy Goodness O Lover-of-mankind, purify our souls, bodies and spirits.

فلهذا نسأل ونطلب من صلاحك يا محب البشر طهر نفوسنا وأجسادنا وأرواحنا.

So that with a pure heart, we dare in intimacy and without fear, to cry unto Thine Holy Father who is in Heaven and say:

لكي بقلب طاهر نجرؤ بدالة بغير خوف أن نصرخ نحو أبيك القدوس الذي في السموات ونقول:
