Jeremiah 9:7-11

Ⲕⲉⲫ ⲑ̅: ⲍ̅- ⲓ̅ⲉ̅

Therefore thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will try them with fire, and prove them; for I will do thus because of the wickedness of the daughter of my people. Their tongue is a wounding arrow; the words of their mouth are deceitful: one speaks peaceably to his neighbour, but in himself retains enmity. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a people as this? Take up a lamentation for the mountains, and a mournful dirge for the paths of the wilderness, for they are desolate for want of men; they heard not the sound of life from the birds of the sky, nor the cattle: they were amazed, they are gone. And I will remove the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and make it a dwelling-place of dragons; and I will utterly waste the cities of Juda, so that they shall not be inhabited.

من أجل ذلك هكذا يقول الرب: هآنذا أسكبهم وامتحنهم وسأضع أمام شر إبنة شعبي لسانهم سهم حاد، وكلمات أفواههم غاشة. يتكلم مع قريبة كلاماً سلامياً والعداوة في قلبه، أعلى هذا لا افتقدهم يقول الرب. أم لا تنتقم نفسي من شعب كهذا؟! قل نوحا على الجبال وإبك على طرق البرية، لأنها قد تركت وليس فيها إنسان، ولم يسمع صوت سكان من الطير إلى البهائم. تحيرت وهلكت وسأنقل أورشليم وأصيرها مسكناً للتنانين، ومدن يهوذا أجعلها للهلاك، ولا يكون فيها ساكن.

Glory be the Holy Trinity, our God, forever and ever. Amen.

And thou, son of man, prophesy, and thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord, concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and thou shalt say, O sword, sword, drawn for slaughter, and drawn for destruction, awake, that thou mayest gleam. While thou art seeing vain visions, and while thou art prophesying falsehoods, to bring thyself upon the necks of ungodly transgressors, the day is come, even an end, in a season of iniquity.

وأنت أيضاً يا ابن الإنسان تنبأ وقل: هذا ما يقوله الرب لبنى عمون وتعييرهم. وقل للسيف: أيها السيف المسلول للذبح، المصقول للنهاية، قم وأبرق برؤياك الباطل وللتهديد بالكذب، لتقطع أعناق المخالفين الذي قد قربت ايامهم، وكمل زمان ظلمهم أرجع ولا تسترح في المكان الذي ولدت فيه، سأدينك في أرضك واقبض عليك رجزى وبنار سخطى أنفخ عليك غضبى وسأسلمك للبربر صانعي الهلاك، فتكون مأكلا للنار ودمك يكون في وسط أرضك ولا يكون لك ذكر لأني أنا الرب تكلمت.

Turn, rest not in this place wherein thou wert born: in thine own land will I judge thee. And I will pour out my wrath upon thee, I will blow upon thee with the fire of my wrath, and I will deliver thee into the hands of barbarians skilled in working destruction. Thou shalt be fuel for fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of thy land; there shall be no remembrance at all of thee: for I the Lord have spoken it.

أبانا الذي فى السموات، ليتقدس إسمك، ليأت ملكوتك. لتكن مشيئتك كما فى السماء كذلك على الأرض. خبزنا الذي للغد أعطنا اليوم واغفر لنا ذنوبنا كما نغفر نحن أيضاً للمذنبين إلينا. ولا تُدخلنا فى تجربة لكن نجنا من الشرير بالمسيح يسوع ربنا. لأن لك الملك والقوة والمجد إلى الأبد. آمين.

And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people. Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast. And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him. And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him. And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear. Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. وفيما هو يتكلم إذ جاء يهوذا أحد الإثنى عشر ومعه جمع كثير بسيوف وعصى من قبل رؤساء الكهنة وشيوخ الشعب، وكان مسلمه قد أعطاهم علامة قائلا: الذي أقبل فاه هو هو فأمسكوه. وللوقت تقدم إلى يسوع وقال له: السلام يا معلم. وقبل فاه. فقال له يسوع: يا صاحب، أهذا الذي جئت من أجله؟! حينئذ ألقوا أيديهم على يسوع وأمسكوه، وإذ واحد من الذين كانوا مع يسوع مد يده وإستل سيفه وضرب عبد رئيس الكهنة، فقطع أذنه اليمنى، حينئذ قال له يسوع: أردد السيف إلى مكانه، لأن كل الذين يأخذون بالسيف بالسيف يهلكون. أتظن أنى لا أستطيع الآن أن أطلب من أبي فيقدم لى في الحال ههنا أكثر من إثنتى عشرة جوقة من الملائكة، ولكن كيف تتم الكتب؟!. فإنه هكذا ينبغي أن يكون. وفي تلك الساعة قال يسوع للجموع: خرجتم كما تخرجون على لص بسيوف وعصى لتمسكوني، أما كنت أجلس كل يوم في الهيكل أعلم ولم تمسكوني؟! وهذا كله قد كان لتتم كتب الأنبياء. حينئذ تركه التلاميذ كلهم وهربوا، أما هم فأمسكوا يسوع وقدموه إلى قيافا رئيس الكهنة، حيث إجتمع الكتبة والشيوخ وكان بطرس يتبعهم من بعيد إلى دار رئيس الكهنة، ودخل وجلس مع الخدام لينظر النهاية.

In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me. But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled. And they all forsook him, and fled. And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked. And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes. And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

وللوقت فيما هو يتكلم، أقبل يهوذا أحد الإثنى عشر ومعه جمع كثير بسيوف وعصى من عند رؤساء الكهنة والشيوخ والكتبة، وكان المزمع أن يسلمه قد أعطاهم علامة قائلا: الذي أقبل فاه هو هو فأمسكوه وخذوه بحرص. وللوقت جاء وتقدم إليه وقال: يا معلم. وقبل فاه. فألقوا ايديهم عليه وامسكوه، فإستل واحداً من الواقفين السيف وضرب عبد رئيس الكهنة فقطع أذنه، فأجاب يسوعوقال لهم: كإنما على لص خرجتم بسيوف وعصى، لتقبضوا على!. كل يوم كنت معكم أعلم في الهيكل ولم تمسكوني، ولكن لكي تكمل الكتب، فتركه الجميع وهربوا، وكان يتبعه شاب مرتدياً إزاراً على عريه فأمسكوه، أما هو فترك الإزار وهرب عاريا. وأخذوا يسوع إلى قيافا رئيس الكهنة واجتمع إليه كل رؤساء الكهنة والشيوخ والكتبة، وكان بطرس يتبعه من بعيد إلى داخل دار رئيس الكهنة، وكان جالساً يصطلى عند الضوء.

And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him. وفيما هو يتكلم، إذا جمع يتقدمهم المدعو يهوذا أحد الإثنى عشر، فدنا من يسوع وقبل فاه، فقال له يسوع: يا يهوذا،أبقبلة تسلنم إبن الإنسان؟! فلما رأى الذين حوله ما كان قالوا: يا رب أتضرب بالسيف؟. وضرب واحد منهم عبد رئيس الكهنة فقطع أذنه اليمنى، فأجاب يسوع وقال: كفى إلى هنا. ولمس أذنه وأبرأها، ثم قال يسوع للذين جاءوا إليه من رؤساء الكهنة وقواد جند الهيكل والشيوخ: كأنه على لص خرجتم بسيوف وعصى، وقد كنت معكم كل يوم في الهيكل، ولم تمدوا على أيديكم ولكن هذه ساعتكم وسلطان الظلمة. فلما أمسكوه وجاءوا به وأدخلوه إلى بيت رئيس الكهنة، وكان بطرس يتبعه من بعيد، ولما أضرموا ناراً في وسط الدار وجلسوا، فكان بطرس أيضاً جالساً في وسطهم.

Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him, And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year. وكان مع سمعان بطرس سيف فإستله وضرب عبد رئيس الكهنة، فقطع إذنه اليمنى وكان إسم العبد ملخس، فقال يسوع لبطرس: إلق السيف في غمده. الكأس التي أعطانيها أبى ألا أشربها؟! ثم أن الجمع وقائد الألف وخدام اليهود قبضوا على يسوع وأوثقوه وجاءوا به اولاً إلى الحنان، لأنه كان حما قيافا الذي كان رئيسا للكهنة في تلك السنة، وكان قيافا هو الذي أشار على اليهود قائلا: أنه خير أن يموت رجل واحد عن الشعب.

طرح الساعة التاسعة من ليله الجمعة العظيمة من البصخة المقدسة، بركاتها علينا. آمين.

Reader

And while he was speaking with his disciples concerning his suffering, one of the twelve – who is Judas – came accompanied with a great multitude armed with swords and clubs and soldiers from the chief priests and the scribes. His betrayer – the contrary full of transgression – had given them a sign saying, whomever I kiss, he is the one; seize him. He immediately went up to Jesus and said to him, Peace Lord, and kissed him. Jesus said to him: How could you have the audacity to deliver me with a kiss. And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus, stretched out his hand, drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear. Then Jesus said to him, put your sword in its sheeth; for all who take the sword by the sword will perish. I could, if I want to, bring in hosts of angels to fight for me. When the disciples saw that, they escaped and left him alone with the multitudes. Then they led him away to Caiaphas the high priest where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

فلما فرغ كلام الملخص لتلاميذه من أجل آلامه، جاء واحد من الإثنى عشر الذى هو يهوذا ومعه جمع بسيوف وعصى وجند من عند الكتبة ورؤساءالكهنة، وكان الدافع إبن الشرير المخالف المملوء من الآثام، وأعطاهم علامة قائلا: إن الذي اقبله هو هو فإمسكوه واعرفوه من ذلك الوقت الذي أصنع به هذا، إذا دنوت منه لأقبله وأخاطبه هو هو فأمسكوه. وأتى إلى يسوع وقال له: السلام يا معلم. وقبله، فقال له: يا صاحب كيف تجاسرت لأن تسلمني بقبلة إلى الأمم؟!.. فأسرع واحد واستل سيفاً وقطع به أذن عبد رئيس الكهنة، فقال يسوع: أردد السيف إلى غمده، فإن الذي يقتل بالسيف بالسيف يقتل، وأنا يمكني أن احضر ربوات الملائكة لتحارب أمامي. حينئذ لما نظر التلاميذ هذا هربوا وتركوه مع الجمع الكثير، فأتوا به إلى قيافا رئيس الكهنة وجماعة الكتبة واصحاب الناموس وكان سمعان بطرس يتبعه حتى جلس عند باب رئيس الكهنة. الويل لك يا يهوذا لأنك احتملت عقوبة لا شبيه لها، ولبست اللعنة مثل الثوب، فنصيبك يكون مع الزناة أيها المخالف.

Woe to you Judas, for you has met a punishment without parallel and doomed damnation on yourself. Your lot will be with the corrupt.

The priest and the congregation say

Christ our Savior, has come and has borne suffering, that through His passion, He may save us.

Ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ: ⲁϥⲓ̀ ⲁϥϣⲉⲡⲙ̀ⲕⲁϩ: ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϥ ⲙ̀ⲕⲁⲩϩ: ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲥⲱϯ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ.

المسيح مخلصنا جاء وتألم عنا لكى بآلامه يخلصنا.

Let us glorify Him, and exalt His Name, for He has done us mercy, according to His great mercy.

Ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲛϯⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ: ⲧⲉⲛϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ: ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲛ: ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲓ.

فلنمجده ونرفع إسمه لأنه صنع معنا رحمةً كعظيم رحمته.
