Sow to yourselves for righteousness, gather in for the fruit of life: light ye for yourselves the light of knowledge; seek the Lord till the fruits of righteousness come upon you. Wherefore have ye passed over ungodliness in silence, and reaped the sins of it? ye have eaten false fruit; for thou has trusted in thy sins, in the abundance of thy power. Therefore shall destruction rise up among thy people, and all thy strong places shall be ruined: as a prince Solomon departed out of the house of Jeroboam, in the days of battle they dashed the mother to the ground upon the children, thus will I do to you, O house of Israel, because of the unrighteousness of your sins. Early in the morning were they cast off, the king of Israel has been cast off: for Israel is a child, and I loved him, and out of Egypt have I called his children. As I called them, so they departed from my presence: they sacrificed to Baalim, and burnt incense to graven images.

إزرعوا لأنفسكم براً إجنوا ثمرة الحياة. أستنيروا بنور المعرفة وأطلبوا الرب حتى يأتيكم ثمرة البر. لماذا سكتم على النفاق ( الذى فيكم ) وحصدتم ظلمكم. أكلتم ثمرة الكذب. لأنك توكلت على مركباتك وكثرة قوتك يقوم هلاك فى شعبك وتخرب جميع حصونك ( المسيجة ) كخراب بيت يوربعام من أراخنة سليمان يوم الحرب. إذ حطمت الأمهات على البنين. هكذا أصنع بكم يا بيت إسرائيل أمامكم من قدام وجهي. لأن ظلمكم وشروركم طرحت ملك إسرائيل خارجاً. لأن إسرائيل صغير وأنا أحببته ودعوت أبنه وأبنى من مصر. فكما دعوتهم. هكذا ذهبوا عن وجهى. فذبحوا للبعليم وبخروا للمنحوتات.

And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat. And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner. And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.

Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also? But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you. But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

أيها الجهال أليس الذى صنع الخارج صنع الداخل أيضاً. بل أعطوا ما عندكم صدقة فهوذا كل شئ يتطهر لكم. ولكن ويل لكم أيها الفريسيون لأنكم تعشرون النعنع والسذاب وكل بقل وتتجاوزون حكم الله ومحبته. وكان ينبغى أن تفعلوا هذه ولا تتركوا تلك.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them. And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers. Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.

Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

لذلك أيضاً قالت حكمة الله. أنى أرسل إليهم أنبياء ورسلاً فيقتلون منهم ويطردون. لكى يطلب من هذا الجيل دم جميع الأنبياء الذى سفك منذ أنشاء العالم. من دم هابيل الصديق إلى دم زكريا بن براشيا الذى أهلك بين المذبح والبيت. نعم أقول لكم أنه يطلب من هذا الجيل.

Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Listen to the clement, compassionate, the patient, who has great mercy when He catechizes us to be clean not only in our bodies but also in our hearts. The Pharisee who invited Jesus to dinner was puzzled at Him when He ate the bread without washing His hands; the Omniscient teacher said to him: You Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup but inside you are full of promiscuity, plunder, depredation and injustices. Give alms and just judgment and everything will be cleansed to you. Le us be kind to God’s creation. Thus, we may purify ourselves, bodies, and souls of all the filth of sins.

أسمعوا الرؤوف الرحوم الكثير الرحمة المتأنى كيف يوصينا أن نكون أطهاراً ليس فى أجسادنا فقط بل وفى قلوبنا أيضاً. لما تعجب منه ذلك الفريسى الذى سأله أن يأكل عنده. فلما رآه يأكل الخبز بغير طهر ولا غسل يديه. تكلم معه المعلم العارف بكل الأشياء قبل كونها قائلاً أنتم يا معشر الفريسيين تطهرون خارج الكأس والسكرجة فأما داخلكم فأنه مملوء دعارة وأختطافاً وظلماً. أعطوا صدقة وحكماً عدلاً وكل شئ يتطهر لكم. فلنكن نحن رحومين على كل إنسان خلقه الله. وعند ذلك نطهر نفوسنا وأجسادنا وأرواحنا من كل دنس الخطية.
