The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel by the hand of his messenger. Lay it, I pray you, to heart. I have loved you, saith the Lord. And ye said, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob, and hated Esau and laid waste his borders, and made his heritage as dwellings of the wilderness? Because one will say, Idumea has been overthrown, but let us return and rebuild the desolate places; thus saith the Lord Almighty, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall be called The borders of wickedness, and, The people against whom the Lord has set himself for ever. And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The Lord has been magnified upon the borders of Israel.

فتح كلام الرب لأسرائيل على يد ملاكه. ضعوا فى قلوبكم أنى أحببتكم يقول الرب. وقلتم بم أحببتنا. أليس عيسو أخا ليعقوب يقول الرب. وقد أحببت يعقوب وأبغضت عيسو. وجعلت حدوده للفساد ونصيب ميراثه قفراً. (لبنات آوى) وأن قال الأدوميون أننا قد أنهدمنا فلنرجع ونبنى خربها هذا ما يقول الرب الضابط الكل. هم يبنون وأنا أهدم. وأدعوها تخم الأثم والشعب الذى قاومه الرب إلى الأبد. فتبصر عيونكم وأنتم تقولون لقد تعظم الرب فوق تخوم أسرائيل.

A son honours his father, and a servant his master: if then I am a father, where is mine honour? and if I am a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord Almighty. Ye the priests are they that despise my name: yet ye said, Wherein have we despised thy name? In that ye bring to mine altar polluted bread; and ye said, Wherein have ye polluted it? In that ye say, The table of the Lord is polluted, and that which was set thereon ye have despised. For if ye bring a blind victim for sacrifices, is it not evil? and if ye bring the lame or the sick, is it not evil? offer it now to thy ruler, and see if he will receive thee, if he will accept thy person, saith the Lord Almighty. And now intreat the face of your God, and make supplication to him. These things have been done by your hands; shall I accept you? saith the Lord Almighty.

الأبن يكرم أباه والعبد سيده. فأن كنت أنا أباً فأين كرامتى. وأن كنت سيداً فأين مهابتى. قال الرب الضابط الكل وأنتم أيها الكهنة المحتقرون أسمي. وقلتم بم أحتقرنا أسمك. لأنكم قربتم على مذبحى خبزاً نجساً وقلتم بم نجسناه. بقولكم أن مائدة الرب حقيرة وحقيرة هى الأطعمة الموضوعة عليها. وإذ قربتم الأعرج أو السقيم أفليس ذلك شراً، قربه لرئيسك أفيقبله منك أو يقبل وجهك. يقول الرب الضابط الكل.

Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

On this day some people came and told Him that king Herod (wants to kill him) saying: Teacher, get out of here and leave this area because this irreverent Herod wants to kill you. Jesus said to them: Go and tell this wicked fox that I will heel many today and tomorrow in the coming days. It is written that no prophet shall perish outside Jerusalem. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kills the prophets and stones those that are sent to you; how often did I want to gather your children together and you would not. Behold your house will be desolate forever. For those who (are listening) hear me I say from now on you shall not see me until you all say in one voice, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord God.

فى ذلك اليوم وافاه قوم وأخبروه عن هيرودس الملك قائلين يا معلم أخرج من ههنا فإن هيرودس المارق يريد قتلك فأجاب وقال للذى قال له أمض وقل لهذا الثعلب الشرير أنى أكمل شفاء كثيرين اليوم وغداً وفى اليوم الآتى فقد كتب أنه لا يهلك نبي خارجاً عن أورشليم. يا أورشليم يا أورشليم يا قاتلة الأنبياء وراجمة المرسلين. كم من مرة أردت أن أجمع بنيك فلم تريدى. هوذا أترك لكم بيتكم خراباً إلى كل الأجيال. أقول لكم أيها الذين تسمعوننى أنكم لا تروننى منذ هذا اليوم حتى تقولوا كلكم من فم واحد مبارك الآتى بأسم الرب الإله.

Christ our Savior, has come and has borne suffering, that through His passion, He may save us.

المسيح مخلصنا جاء وتألم عنا لكى بآلامه يخلصنا.
