And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, say to her, Thou art the land that is not rained upon, neither has rain come upon thee in the day of wrath; whose princes in the midst of her are as roaring lions seizing prey, devouring souls by oppression, and taking bribes; and thy widows are multiplied in the midst of thee. Her priests also have set at nought my law, and profaned my holy things: they have not distinguished between the holy and profane, nor have they distinguished between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I was profaned in the midst of them. Her princes in the midst of her are as wolves ravening to shed blood, that they may get dishonest gain. And her prophets that daub them shall fall, that see vanities, that prophesy falsehoods, saying, Thus saith the Lord, when the Lord has not spoken.

وصارت إلى كلمة الرب قائلا: يا ابن الإنسان قل لها: أنت هي الأرض التي لم تقبل ماء ولم يأت عليك مطر في يوم غضبي، التي مدبروها في وسطها كالأسود المفترسة. يخطفون اختطافا، يأكلون النفوس بقوة، ويقبلون الكرامات (الرشوة) وقد كثرت أراملك فيك وكهنتك رذلوا ناموسي ودنسوا مقادسي، ولم يميزوا بين البار والفاجر، وبين النجس والطاهر، وحجبوا عيونهم عن سبوتي ونجسوني في وسطك، ورؤساؤها في وسطها كالذئاب الخاطفة للفريسة، ليسفك الدم، لاحتساب كسب لكي يأخذوا بالأفضل كثيراً، وانبياؤها الذين مسحوهم يسقطون، لأنهم يرون الباطل وينمون الكذب. مجداً للثالوث الأقدس

ثم جاء إلى حقل إسمه جشيماني، فقال لتلاميذه: أجلسوا ههنا حتى أصلى. ثم أخذ معه بطرس ويعقوب يوحنا، وابتدأ يرتاع ويحزن. فقال لهم: إن نفسى حزينة حتى الموت، أمكثوا ههنا واسهروا. ثم تقدم قليلاً وخر على الأرض، وكان يصلى لكى تعبر عنه الساعة إن أمكن، وكان يقول: يا أبا الآب إن كل شيء مستطاع لك، فلتعبر عني هذه الكأس، ولكن ليس كما أريد أنا بل كما تريد انت. ثم جاء فوجدهم نياماً، فقال لبطرس: أتنام يا سمعان؟ ألم تقدر أن تسهر معي ساعة؟!. إسهروا وصلوا لئلا تدخلوا في تجربة. أما الروح فنشيط وأام الجسد فضعيف، ومضى أيضاً وصلى قائلاً هذا الكلام بعينه، ثم جاء فوجدهم نياما، لأن أعينهم كانت ثقيلة، ولم يعلموا بماذا يجيبونه. ثم جاء المرة الثالث وقال لهم: ناموا الآن واستريحوا، يكفى قد أتت الساعة. هوذا إبن الإنسان يسلم إلى ايدي الخطاة. قوموا لنذهب، هوذا الذي يسلمنى قد إقترب.

فلما جاء إلى المكان قال لهم: صلوا لئلا تدخلوا في تجربة. وإنفرد عنهم نحو رمية حجر، وجثا على ركبتيه وصلى قائلا: يا أبتاه إن شئت فلتعبر عني هذه الكأس، لكن لا إرادتي بل إرادتك أنت. وظهر له ملاك من السماء ليقويه. وحدث وهو صلى باشتياق جاثيا على ركبتيه أن صار عرقه كلون الدم نازلاً على الأرض. ولما قام من الصلوة جاء إلى تلاميذه فوجدهم نياماً من الحزن، قال لهم: لماذا أنتم نيام؟!. قوموا وصلوا لئلا تدخلوا في تجربة.

وأن يهوذا أخذ الجميع وخادما من عند رؤساء الكهنة والفريسيين، وجاء إلى هناك بمشاعل ومصابيح وسلاح، وأن يسوع كان عالماً بكل ما يأتي عليه، فخرج وقال لهم: من تطلبون؟ أجابوا وقالوا له: يسوع الناصري. فقال لهم يسوع: أنا هو. وكان واقفاً معهم يهوذا المزمع أن يسلمه، فلما قال لهم اني أنا هو، رجعوا إلى الوراء وسقطوا على الأرض، فسألهم أيضاً مرة ثانية: من تطبلون؟ فقالوا: يسوع الناصرى. أجابهم يسوع: قد قلت لكم أني أنا هو، فإن كنتم تطلبوني فدعوا هؤلاء يذهبون، ليتم القول الذي قاله أن الذين أعطيتنى لم يهلك منهم أحد.

Our Savior came down Mount Olive and went to Gethsemane with the disciples. Then he told his disciples to wait there and took Peter together with the two brothers the sons of Zebedee. Then He started to pray for his sufferings. He said to them my soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with me. He went a little farther and fell on his face and prayed saying: O My Father, if it is possible let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will but as you will. Then he came back to his disciples and found them asleep in great sadness. He woke Peter and said to his disciples; what could you not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray lest you enter into temptation. The second time, he prayed again that if it is at all possible to let the cup pass from him. In the third time, he prayed again then he came to his disciples and said to them; Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold the hour is at hand and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise let us be going. See he who betrays me is at hand.

ثم ترك مخلصنا يسوع جبل الزيتون وأتى إلى الجشيمانية مع الرسل، وهكذا قال لتلاميذه: اجلسوا ههنا حتى أمضى لأصلى. وأخذ معه بطرس مع الأخوين الطاهرين ابنى زيدى، وبدأ يقول في صلاته من أجل آلامه التي سينالها. وهكذا قال لخواصه: اسهروا معي في الصلاة. وإبتعد قليلاً وخر على وجهه وصلى قائلاً بحزن قلب: يا إبتاه إن كان يمكن أن تعبر عني هذه الكأس، ولكن ليس إرادتي بل إرادتك. ثم عاد وجاء إلى تلاميذه فوجدهم نياماً بحزن عظيم، فأيقظ بطرس وقال:آلا يجب عليك أن تسهر معي ساعة واحدة؟! صلوا بلا فتور لكي لا تدخلوا في تجربة. والمرة الثانية صلى هكذا من أجل الكأس لكى تعبر عنه. والمرة الثالثة هكذا صلى بهذا الكلام الذي قاله: قوموا إسهروا معي واتركوا النوم فقد اقترب الذي يسلمني. الويل لك يا يهوذا أكثر من جميع الناس فإن خطاياك تضاعفت وخطايا والديك، جحدت البركة وأحببت اللعنة فحلت عليك اللعنة إلى آخر الدهور.

Woe to you Judas more than anyone else because your sins have multiplied as well as your parents’ sins. You have rejected the blessings and loved damnation. It will be with you unto the ages of ages.
