Is not my hand strong to redeem? or can I not deliver? behold, by my rebuke I will dry up the sea, and make rivers a wilderness; and their fish shall be dried up because there is no water, and shall die for thirst. هكذا يقول الرب. أين هو كتاب طلاق أمكم الذى طلقتها به أو إلى أى غريم أسلمتكم هوذا من أجل خطايا كم قد بعتكم. وبسبب أثامكم طلقت أمكم. لماذا أتيت ولم يكن إنسان دعوت وليس من مجيب. أقصرت يدى عن أن تخلص. أثقلت أذنى عن السماع. إنما خطايا كم قائمة بينكم وبين الله لأجل ذنوبكم صرف وجهه عنكم لكى لا يرحمكم. هل ليس لى قوة على خلاصكم. هوذا بغضبى أنشف البحر وأصير الأنهار قفاراً فييبس سمكها من عدم الماء. ويموت من العطش. وألبس السماء ظلاماً وأجعل المسح غطاءها

The root of wisdom is to fear the Lord, and the branches thereof are long life. The fear of the Lord driveth away sins: and where it is present, it turneth away wrath. A furious man cannot be justified; for the sway of his fury shall be his destruction. A patient man will tear for a time, and afterward joy shall spring up unto him. He will hide his words for a time, and the lips of many shall declare his wisdom. The parables of knowledge are in the treasures of wisdom: but godliness is an abomination to a sinner. If thou desire wisdom, keep the commandments, and the Lord shall give her unto thee. For the fear of the Lord is wisdom and instruction: and faith and meekness are his delight. 28 Distrust not the fear of the Lord when thou art poor: and come not unto him with a double heart. Be not an hypocrite in the sight of men, and take good heed what thou speakest. Exalt not thyself, lest thou fall, and bring dishonour upon thy soul, and so God discover thy secrets, and cast thee down in the midst of the congregation, because thou camest not in truth to the fear of the Lord, but thy heart is full of deceit.

أصل الحكمة هى مخافة الرب. وأغصانها كثرة الأيام والغضوب لا يمكن أن يتبرر. لأن ميله للغضب يسقطه. الطويل الروح يصبر إلى حين ثم يعاوده السرور. يكتم كلامه إلى حين وشفاه الكثيرين تنطق بحكمة أمثال التعليم كائنة فى كنوز الحكمة أما عند الخاطئ فعبادة الله رجس. أن أشتهيت الحكمة فأحفظ الوصايا. فيهبها لك الرب. فأن الحكمة والأدب هما مخافة الرب. والذى يرضيه هو الأيمان والوداعة لا تكن مخالفاً لمخافة الرب ولا تتقدم إليه بقلبين. لا تكن مرائياً قدام الناس وأحفظ فمك وشفتيك لا تترفع لئلا تسقط. فتجلب على نفسك الهوان. ويكشف الرب خفاياك. ويصرعك فى وسط الجماعة. لأنك لم تتقدم إلى مخافة الرب. وقلبك ممتلئ غشاً.

عظة لأبينا القديس أنبا شنودة رئيس المتوحدين، بركته المقدسة تكون معنا. آمين.

Occasionally there are some deeds which we may think they are good while in God's eyes they are bad. For example, the unqualified tolerance of sinners in holy places may lead them to be indifferent to sin. For example, the Lord did not plant good trees and bad trees in paradise but only good trees. He did not plant fruitless trees or trees with bad fruits. Even man himself when he disobeyed the commandment He was not indifferent about man's inequity but expelled him from paradise. From this we can see dear beloved that the houses of the Lord should not be filled with bad and good people - as is the case in the world where the saints and sinners, the injust and the impure mingle together. It is incumbant on us to remind those who come to the house of the Lord to behave appropriately. I know that the whole earth is God's, but if we make His house just like the rest of the earth what is going to distinguish the house of the Lord from the rest. If I as a servant of God commit the same deeds as the wicked then I do not deserve to be called a servant of God. For we often sin and are unable to judge ourselves with the same standard we judge others. You see no one can fill your place with dirt unless they notice your lack of interest in it. Just like the king's pages; they can not let everyone in the king's house whether they honor the king's decree or whether they ignore them without the king's permission. If they deviate from this (rule) they receive punishment.

قد توجد أعمال نخالها أنها صالحة. ولكنها رديئة عند الله. وذلك إننا نتغاضى عن بعضنا بعضاً فنخطئ فى المواضع المقدسة. لأن الرب لم يغرس فى الفردوس للأشجار الصالحة والغير الصالحة بل غرسه من الأشجار الصالحة فقط. ولم يغرس فيه أشجاراً غير مثمرة أو رديئة الثمر. وليس هذا فقط. بل والناس أنفسهم الذين جعلهم هناك. عند ما خالفوا لم يحتملهم بل أخرجهم منه. فمن هذا إعلموا أيها الأخوة الأحباء أنه لا يجب أن نملأ مساكن الله المقدسة من الناس الأشرار والصالحين. كما فى العالم المملوء من الخطاة والظالمين والقديسين والأنجاس. و لكن الذين يخطئون لا يتركهم فيها بل يخرجهم. أنا أعرف أن الأرض كلها هى للرب. فاذا كان بيته كباقى الأرض. فما هى ميزته إذن على غيره. فأن كنت وأنا الكاهن أعمل الشر كما يعمله الأشرار على الرض فلا يحق لى أن أدعى كاهناً لأنه مراراً كثيرة نخطئ ولا نعرف كيف يدين أنفسنا بما نقول. لا يتجرأ أحد أن يملأ بيتك قذارة إلا إذا رأى منك التهاون ولا حجاب الملك يتجرأون أن يدخلوا بكل إنسان إلى بيته من الحافظين مراسيمه والمخالفين لها الإ بأمره. ومتى عملوا بخلاف ذلك يعاقبون. فلنختم موعظة أبينا القديس أنبا شنودة الذى أنار عقولنا وعيون قلوبنا بأسم الآب والأبن والروح القدس الأله الواحد آمين.

الحق الحق أقول لكم أن كان أحد يحفظ كلامى فلن يرى الموت إلى الأبد.فقال له اليهود. الأن علمنا أن بك شيطاناً. قد مات إبراهيم والأنبياء وأنت تقول أن كان أحد يحفظ كلامى فلن يذوق الموت إلى الأبد. العلك أنت أعظم من أبينا إبراهيم الذى مات والأنبياء قد ماتوا أيضاً من تجعل نفسك.أجاب يسوع قائلاً. أن كنت أنا أمجد نفسى وحدى فليس مجدى شيئاً. أبى هو الذى يمجدنى. الذى تقولون أنتم أنه الهكم.و لستم تعرفونه وأما أنا فأعرفه وأن قلت أنى لست أعرفه صرت كاذباً مثلكم لكننى أعرفه وأحفظ كلامه أبراهيم أبوكم تهلل مشتهيا أن يرى يومى فرأى وفرح.فقال له اليهود ليس لك خمسون سنة بعد وقد رأيت أبراهيم. فقال لهم يسوع الحق الحق أقول لكم. قبل أن يكون إبراهيم أنا كائن. فأخذ اليهود حجارة ليرجموه فتوارى يسوع وخرج من الهيكل مجتازاً فى وسطهم ومضى هكذا.

أيها النور الحقيقى الذى يضئ لكل إنسان آتى إلى العالم.

O shinning True Light that fills the earth, I mean Jesus the true light that shines for all nations - except the Jews for they stayed away from him and did not look at him. When he revealed himeslef to them and told them that those who believe in him shall live forever.

أيها النور الحقيقى الذى يضئ المالئ كل مكان فى المسكونة أعنى يسوع النور الحقيقى الذى يضئ لجميع الأمم ما خلا اليهود فأنهم لم يقتربوا من هذا النور ليتاملوه. وأظهر فيهم سره قائلاً أن من يؤمن به لن يموت إلى الأبد.

Observe how the ignorant and breakers of the law accuse Him saying: "It is that with a satan he exorcieses satans. Abraham died and the porphets there replied. If I glorify myself then my glory is nil. There are those who glorifies me. You think you are greater than our Patriarch Abraham and his descendants who all died? You are not even fifty years old. We God's new nations believe in him and observe his commandments and confess by word and in the depth of our hearts the True Word the Omnipotent Righteous is Esternal with the Comforting Holy Spirit. Despite all what he did to teach them, the contrary inequitable ignorants rejected this great blessings and the many miracles He demonstrated among them. Thy did not realize that he was their Saviour of the prophecies. They renounced him, rejeced him and strayed away from God.

أسمعوا كيف أن الجهال ومخالفى الناموس قالوا أن معه شيطان يخرج الشياطين، إبراهيم مات والأنبياء أيضاً فكيف لا يموت الذى يؤمن بك، إن أنا مجدت نفسى فليس مجدى شيئاً. لى من يمجدنى. ألعلك أعظم من أبينا إبراهيم ومن نسله الذين ذاقوه الموت. لم يكن لك خمسون سنة من الزمان فهل رأيت إبراهيم من يصدقك ؟ قال المخلص الحق أنه كائن من قبل أن يكون إبراهيم. فنحن أيضاً نؤمن معشر الشعوب الجديدة ونواظب على وصاياه فى أفواهنا ونعترف من عمق قلوبنا بالكلمة الحقيقى الذى لضابط الكل أن الصالح كائن منذ البدء مع الروح القدس المعزى. لم يزل يخبر الجهال المملوئين أثماً المخالفين الأبناء المرذولين، فجحدوا ولم يقبلوه ورفضوه وصاروا بغير إله.
