And there shall be upon every lofty mountain and upon every high hill, water running in that day, when many shall perish, and when the towers shall fall. And the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold in the day when the Lord shall heal the breach of his people, and shall heal the pain of thy wound. Behold, the name of the Lord comes after a long time, burning wrath: the word of his lips is with glory, a word full of anger, and the anger of his wrath shall devour as fire. And his breath, as rushing water in a valley, shall reach as far as the neck, and be divided, to confound the nations for their vain error: error also shall pursue them, and overtake them. Must ye always rejoice, and go into my holy places continually, as they that keep a feast? and must ye go with a pipe, as those that rejoice, into the mountain of the Lord, to the God of Israel? And the Lord shall make his glorious voice to be heard, and the wrath of his arm, to make a display with wrath and anger and devouring flame: he shall lighten terribly, and his wrath shall be as water and violent hail. For by the voice of the Lord the Assyrians shall be overcome, even by the stroke wherewith he shall smite them. And it shall happen to him from every side, that they from whom their hope of assistance was, in which he trusted, themselves shall war against him in turn with drums and with harp. For thou shalt be required before thy time: has it been prepared for thee also to reign? nay, God has prepared for thee a deep trench, wood piled, fire and much wood: the wrath of the Lord shall be as a trench kindled with sulphur.

وسيكون في ذلك اليوم علي كل جبل شامخ، وعلي كل أكمة مرتفعة ماء يجري، في ذلك اليوم عندما يهلك كثير ويسقط البرج، ويكون نور القمر كنور الشمس، ونور الشمس يصير سبعة أضعاف، في ذلك اليوم إذا ما جبر الرب كسر شعبه وداوي ضربات جراحه، هوذا إسم الرب يأتي من زمن بعيد غضب مشتعل ومجد هو كلام شفتيه، والكلام مملوء حنقاً ورجز سخطه يأكل كنار، وتأتي نفخة مثل الماء الجاري في واد إلي الأعناق. ويقسم علي الأمم قلقاً لأجل الضلالة الباطلة، وستكرهم الضلالة وتأخذهم علي وجوههم، هل تنعمون كل وقت وتدخلون مقادسي كل حين كالمعدين والفرحين وتدخلون بآلات اللهو إلي جبل الله، إلي الإله القوي قدوس إسرائيل ؟ فيسمعهم الله جلال صوته، ويظهر نزول غضب ذراعه ويأتي عليهم بأرجل غاضبة وغضب وحنق ولهيب الرجز يأكل مثل الماء والبرد النازلين بعنف.مجداً للثالوث الأقدس.

يا إبني إحفظ شريعة أبيك ولا ترفض مشورة أمك، أربطها بثبات في نفسك واجعلها قلادة في عنقك، وإذا مشيت خذها معك ولتكن لك، وإذا نمت فلتحرسك حتى إذا استيقظت فإنها تحدثك لأن وصية الله مصباح والناموس نور كل السبل، لأنه الأدب يكسب طريقه طول العمر، لكي يحفظك من امرأة ليست هي لك ومن دغل ذي لسانين وغش إنسان غريب، فلا يغلبك جمال الشهوة ولا تصيدك ولا تقتنصك بحبالها ( لأنه بسبب إمرأة زانية تفتقر إاي رغيف خبز واحد والمرأة تصطاد نفس الرجل الكريم ) أيضم أحد جمر نار في حضنه ولا تحترق ثيابه ؟ أم يمشي أحد علي جمر نار ولا تكتو رجلاه ؟ هكذا إنسان يدخل سارقاً فإنه يسرق ليشبع نفسه الجائعة. وإذا أمسك يعطي سبعة أضعاف ويعطي كل ما له ليخلص، أما الفاسق فمن أجل جهله سيجلب علي نفسه هلاكاً ويقاسي أحزاناً وخزياً وعاره لا يمحي إلي الأبد، لأن حنق رجلها يلتهب ناراً ولن يشفق في المجازة ولا يخفي عداوته نظير أي فدية ولا نظير أي هدية. يا إبني إحفظ كلامي وإدخر وصاياي عندك. أكرم الله لتتقوي ولا تخف أحدا سواه، وإحفظ وصاياه فتحيا، وإحرص علي كلامي كحدقة العين، وأربطه علي أصابعك. أكتبه في عمق قلبك، قل للحكمة : أنت أختي وللفهم هو رجلك.مجداً للثالوث الأقدس.

عظة لأبينا القديس أنبا يوحنا ذهبي الفم، بركته المقدسة تكون معنا. آمين.

I want to remind you – with what I repeatedly reiterated to you concerning our communion with the Holy Sacraments, which is of Christ. I see you in a state of extreme looseness, permissiveness, and an alarming audacity and lamentable recklessness. I weep over my condition and ask myself; Do these people really know for whom do they stand for. Or do these people realize the power of this sacrament. At this thought I become angry reluctantly. If I could go away I would have left your community out of distraught ness. If I scold one of you, he disregards my words and resents the reprimand as if I were unfair to him. I am amazed that you do not get angry – at those who violate you – and plunder your possessions – as much as you are angry at me; I who am keen over your salvation. I dread the thought that God’s wrath may be inflicted upon you because of your disregard of this great sacrament. Do you really know who is He you want to partake of. This is the Holy Body of God the Word. And His blood that he offered for our salvation. Anyone who partakes in it undeservingly will suffer abominable punishment; as was the case with Juda who betrayed God when he had communion with him without being worthy.

أريد أن أذكركم أيها الإخوة بما قلته لكم مرات عديدة وقت تناولنا من الأسرار المقدسة التي للمسيح، إذ رأيتكم في إنحلال عظيم وعدم مخافة تستوجب النوح فأبكي علي نفسي وأقوال في فكري : هل تري هؤلاء عارفون لمن هم قائمون، أم تري هم عارفون ماهي قوة هذا السر. وعند ذلك أغضب بغير إرادتي، حتي لو إستطعت الخروج لخرجت من بينكم من ضيق نفس، وإذا ما وبخت أحداً منكم فلم يكترث بقولي، بل يتذمر علي كأنني قد ظلمته ! يالهذا العجب العظيم إن الذين يظلمونكم ويسلبون أمتعتكم لم تغضبوا عليهم كغضبكم علي الآن أنا الذي أغار علي خلاصكم والخائف بوجل من أن يحل بكم عقاب الله بسبب تهاونكم بهذا السر العظيم. أتري تعلمون من هذا الذي تريدون أن تتناولوا منه ؟ هو الجسد المقدس الذي لله الكلمة، ودمه الذي بذله عن خلاصنا. هذا إذا تناول أحد منه بغير استحقاق يكون له عقوبة ومحقاً، كما صار ليهوذا الذي أسلم الرب عندما تناول منه بغير استحقاق.

كمثل إنسان مسافر، دعا عبيده وسلمهم أمواله، فأعطي واحداً خمس وزنات، وآخر وزنتين وآخر وزنة كل واحد علي قدر طاقته وسافر للوقت.فمضي الذي أخذ الخمس الوزنات، وتاجر بها فربح خمس وزنات آخر، وهكذا الذي أخذ الوزنتين. ربح وزنتين آخريين. وأما الذي اخذ الوزنة فمضي وحفر في الأرض ودفن فضة سيده. وبعد زمان كثير جاء سيد اولئك العبيد وحاسبهم، فجاء الذي أخذ الخمس الوزنات وقدم خمس وزنات أخر قائلاً : يا سيد خمس وزنات سلمتني وهذه خمس وزنات أخرى ربحتها. فقال له سيده : نعماً أيها العبد الصالح والأمين، قد وجدت أميناً في القليل فسأقيمك علي الكثير، أدخل إلي فرح سيدك. ثم جاء الذي أخذ الوزنتين وقال : يا سيدي وزنتين سلمتني وهاتان وزنتان أخريان ربحتهما. فقال له سيده : نعماً أيها العبد الصالح والأمين، قد وجدت أميناً في القليل فسأقيمك علي الكثير. أدخل إلي فرح سيدك. ثم جاء أيضاً الذي أخذ الوزنة وقال : يا سيد علمت أنك إنسان قاس، تحصد الذي لم تزرعه وتجمع الذي لم تبذره، فخفت ومضيت ودفنت وزنتك في الأرض. وها هوذا مالك عندي. فأجاب سيده وقال له : أيها العبد الشرير والكسلان، إن كنت قد علمت أني أحصد من حيث لم أزرع، وأجمع من حيث لم أبذر، فكان ينبغي لك أن تسلم فضتي إلي الصيارفة، وكنت متي جئت أستلمتها مع ربحها. خذوا منه الوزنة وأعطوها لصاحب العشرة الوزنات، لأن كل من له يعطي ويزاد، ومن ليس له فالذي عنده يؤخذ منه وذلك العبد البطال ألقوه في الظلمة الخارجية. هناك يكون البكاء وصرير الاسنان. ومتي جاء أبن الإنسان في مجده ومعه جمبع ملائكته الأطهار، فحينئذ يجلس علي عرش مجده، وتجتمع أمامه جميع الشعوب، فيفرز بعضهم من بعض كما يفرز الراعي الخراف من الجداء، فيقيم الخراف عن يمينه والجداء عن يساره. حينئذ يقول الملك للذين عن يمينه : تعالوا إلي يا مباركي أبي رثوا الملك المعد لكم منذ إنشاء العالم، لأني جعت فاطعمتموني، وعطشت فسقيتموني، وكنت غريباً فأويتموني، وعرياناً فكسوتموني، ومريضاً فزرتموني، ومحبوساً فأتيتم إلي. حينئذ يجيبه الصديقون قائلين : يا رب متي رايناك جائعاً فأطعمناك، أو عطشاناً فسقيناك ؟ ومتي رأيناك غريباً فأويناك، أو عرياناً فكسوناك ؟ ومتي رايناك مريضاً أو محبوساً فأتينا إليك ؟ فيجيب الملك ويقول لهم : الحق أقول لكم إنكم كلما فعلتم ذلك بأحد أخوتي هؤلاء الصغار فبي فعلتموه. حينئذ يقول للأشرار الذين عن يساره : إذهبوا عني يا ملاعين إلي النار الأبدية المعدة لإبليس وملائكته، لأني جعت فلم تطعموني وعطشت فلم تسقوني، وكنت غريباً فلم تأووني وعرياناً فلم تكسوني، ومريضاً فلم تعيدوني، ومحبوساً فلم تزوروني. حينئذ يجيبونه هم أيضاً قائلين : يا رب متي رأيناك جائعاً أو عطشاناً، أو غريباً أو عرياناً، أو مريضاً ولم نخدمك ؟ ! حينئذ يجيبهم قائلاً : الحق أقول لكم بما أنكم لم تفعلوه بأحد هؤلاء الصغار فبي لم تفعلوه. فيذهب هؤلاء إلي العذاب الدائم والصديقون إلي الحياة الأبدية. ولما أكمل يسوع هذه الأقوال كلها قال لتلاميذه : تعلمون أنه بعد يومين يكون الفصح وإبن الإنسان يسلم ليصلب ؟ ! والمجد لله دائماً.

In audacity, I have committed iniquities and I was derelict in obeying Thy orders. You come in the power of Thy glory with hosts of angels around Thee. You sit on the throne of Thy kingdom, O the righteous judge. All the nations from all four corners of the earth assemble in front of you, yet with Thy one word, they split apart to the right and to the left. The sheep on your right and the goats on your left. Those on Thy right will rejoice with Thee as well as those virtuous who sought to please Thee and who observed Thy commandments and fulfilled them all. Those who fed Thee in Thy hunger and gave thee a drink in Thy thirst; hosted Thee when You were a stranger in their homes; clothed Thee when You were naked; visited Thee when You were incarcerated. In They sickness, they served Thee. Then they will rejoice in their good deeds and receive their rewards to the exclusion of the goats. The righteous inherit eternal life and the goats suffer. Listen O ye foolish and fathom O ye lost; that mercy prides itself over justice. Be merciful before you face judgment by the Judge.

لك وحدك أخطأت أيها الرب ضابط الكل، فإغفر لي يا ربي وإلهي، وصنعت الشر بجسارة وتكاسلت في أوامرك أيها الرب. إذا جئت بقوة مجدك ويحيط بك ملائكتك وتجلس أنت أيها الديان العادل علي كرسي مملكتك، وتجتمع إليك جميع الأمم من الأربع رياح زوايا الأرض ويفترقون بعضهم عن بعض، يميناً وشمالاً بكلمة واحدة، وتقف الخراف عن يمينك والجداء عن يسارك فيفرح معك الذين عن يمينك والأبرار الذين صنعوا مرضاتك المتمسكون بأوامرك وحفظوها وصنعوها جميعاً، الذين أطعموك في جوعك وسقوك أيضاً في عطشك وفي غربتك أووك في بيوتهم وفي عريك ستروك، وعندما دخلت السجن جاءوا لزيارتك وفي مرضك خدموك، حينئذ يفرحون بأعمالهم الحسنة ويأخذون أجرهم دون الجداء، فيمضي الأبرار إلي الحياة الدائمة والجداء إلي العذاب. أسمعوا أيها الجهال وإفهموا أيها الضالين. أن الرحمة تفتخر في الحكم، فإصنعوا الرحمة قبل أن يأتي عليكم دينونة الديان. فلما فرغ مخلصنا من كلامه أخبر التلاميذ أصفياءه أنه بعد يومين يكون الفصح، فإسمعوا يا أخوتي الذين إصطفيتهم، إن إبن الإنسان سيكمل عليه المكتوب في سفر الأنبياء لكي يكون خروفاً للذبح وفصحاً كاملاً إلي كمال الدهور، فبالحقيقة صرت أيها المسيح إلهنا حملاً بلا عيب عن حياة العالم، الذي هو حمل الله الأب حامل خطية العالم بأسره.

After our Savior concluded his talk He told His disciples that Passover will come after two days and that the Son of Man will fulfill the prophecies of the prophets; to be the sacrificial lamb and complete Passover to the fullness of times. O Christ our Lord, verily You have been the unblemished lamb sacrificed for the life of mankind. He is the lamb of God the Father who took away the sins of the World.

Christ our Savior, has come and has borne suffering, that through His passion, He may save us.
