Liturgy of Thursday

A reading from Saint Paul’s first epistle to the people of Corinthians, may his blessings be with us all. Amen.

فصل من رسالة معلمنا بولس الرسول الأولى إلى أهل كورنثوس، بركته علينا. آمين.

1 Corinthians 11:23-34

Ⲕⲉⲫ ⲓ̅ⲁ̅: ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ ϣ̅ⲃ̅ⲗ̅

البولس إلى أهل كورنثيوس الأولى ٢٣:١١ -٣٤

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

لأنى تسلمت من الرب ما قد سلمته إليكم أن الرب يسوع فى الليلة التى اسلم فيها أخذ خبزآ، وشكر و كسر وقال : خذوا كلوا هذا هو جسدى الذى يقسم عنكم. هذا إصنعوه لذكرى. وكذلك الكأس أيضآ بعد العشاء قائلآ : هذه الكأس هى العهد الجديد بدمى إصنعوا هذا كلما شربتم لذكرى، فإنكم كلما تأكلون من هذا الخبز، وتشربون من هذه الكأس تبشرون بموت الرب إلى أن يجيىء لأن كل من يأكل من هذا الخبز أو يشرب من هذا الكأس بغير إستحقاق يكون مجرمآ فى جسد الرب ودمه. فليمتحن الإنسان نفسه وهكذا فليأكل من هذا الخبز و يشرب من هذه الكأس، لأن الذى يأكل من هذا الخبز ويشرب من هذه الكأس، لأن الذى يأكل ويشرب بدون إستحقاق فإنما يأكل و يشرب دينونة لنفسه إذ أنة لم يميز جسد الرب. ومن أجل ذلك كثر فيكم المرضى و السقماء وكثيرون يرقدون، لأننا لو كنا حكمنا على أنفسنا لما حكم علينا وفى دينونتنا هذه إنما يؤدبنا الرب. لئلا ندان مع العالم. إذا يا إخواتى حين تجتمعون للأكل فلينتظر بعضكم بعضاّ وأن كان أحد يجوع ليأكل فى بيته لكى لا يكون إجتماعكم للديونة واما الأمور الباقية فعندما أجيء أرتبها.

The grace of God the Father be upon your souls, my fathers and brothers. Amen.

نعمة الله الآب تحل على أرواحكم يا ابائي واخوتي. آمين.

The "Trisagion" is chanted in the annual tune which is followed by the Litany of the Gospel. The Psalm is then chanted in the annual tune which is followed by the Holy Gospel in its annual tune.

Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve. And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

و لما كان المساء إتكأ مع تلاميذة الإثنى عشر، و فيما هم يأكلون قال لهم : الحق أقول لكم أن واحداّ منكم يسلمنى. فحزنوا جذاّ و إبتدأ كل واحد منهم يقول: ألعلى أنا هو يارب؟!. أما هو فأجاب قائلاّ: الذى يغمس يده معى فى الصفحة هو الذى يسلمنى. و إن إبن البشر ماضى كما هو مكتوب عنه فويل لذلك الرجل الذى به يسلم إبن الإنسان، قد كان خير لذلك الإنسان لو لم يولد. فأجاب يهوذا مسلمه و قال : ألعلى أنا هو يا معلم؟!. فقال له: أنت قلت.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

وفيما هم يأكلون أخذ يسوع خبزاّ و باركه و قسمه، و أعطى و أعطى تلاميذة و قال : خذوا كلوا فإن هذا هو جسدى. و أخذ الكأس و شكر و أعطاهم قائلاّ: إشربوا من هذه الكإس كلكم لأن هذا هو دمى الذى للعهد الجديد الذى يسفك عن كثيرين لمغفرة الخطايا، و أقول لكم أنى من الآن لا أشرب من عصير هذه الكرمه إلى ذلك اليوم الذى أشربه معكم جديداّ فى ملكوت أبى.

Glory be to God forever.

Thy Body and Thy Blood: are the forgiveness of our sins: with the New Testament: that Thou gave to Thy disciples.

Ⲡⲓⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲛⲟϥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲕ: ⲡⲉⲡ̀ⲭⲱ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ: ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲇⲓⲁ̀ⲑⲏⲕⲏ ⲙ̀ⲃⲉⲣⲓ: ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓⲥ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲕⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ.

جسدك ودمك، هما غفران خطايانا، وللعهد الجديد، الذي أعطيته لتلاميذك.

We are made worthy to eat of the Tree of Life which is the Body of God and His true Blood.

Ⲁⲛ ⲉⲣⲡ̀ⲉⲙⲡ̀ϣⲁ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓϣ̀ϣⲏⲛ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ̀ⲱⲛϧ: ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧϥ: ⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡ̀ⲥⲱⲙⲁ ⲙ̀Ⲫϯ: ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉϥⲥ̀ⲛⲟϥ ⲛ̀ⲁ̀ⲗⲏⲑⲓⲛⲟⲥ.

فاستحققنا شجرة الحياة، لنأكل منه،ا الذى هو جسد الله، ودمه الحقيقى.

Blessed be the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, the perfect Trinity. We worship Him and glorify Him.
