The priest holds the bread and the deacons say the hymn of the Shaaneen (“Evlogimenos”). The priest and deacons starts with the prayer of the third and sixth hour. The bread is offered and the service is continued as usual.

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh,

فلما جاء المسيح رئيس كهنة للخيرات العتيدة فبالمسكن الأعظم والأكمل غير المصنع بيد، أى الذى ليس هو من هذه الخليقة. وليس بدم تيوس وعجول، بل بدمه الخاص دخل مرة واحدة إلى الأقداس فوجد فداء أبدياً. لأنه إن كان دم التيوس والعجول ورماد العجلة إذا ما نضح على المتنجسين يقدسهم لتطهير الجسد،

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

فكم بالحرى يكون دم المسيح هذا الذى بالروح القدس قدم ذاته لله نقياً ليطهر نياتكم من الأعمال الميتة، لكى تعبدوا الله الحى الحقيقى؟ ولأجل هذا فهو وسيط عهد جديد. حتى إذ كان موت لفداء معاصى العهد الأول، يحظى المدعوون بوعد الميراث الأبدى. لأنه حيث يوجد عهد بوصية، فالضرورة تدعو إلى حلول الموت بالموصى. لأن الوصية ثابتة على الأموات إذ لا قوة لها ما دام الموصى حياً. من أجل هذا، فالأول أيضاً لم يكهر بغير دم.

For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

Ⲉⲛⲧⲟⲗⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲓⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲧⲁ Ⲙⲱⲩⲥⲏⲥ ⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲁϥϭⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲁⲥⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲃⲁⲣⲏⲓⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲥⲟⲣⲧ ⲛⲕⲟⲕⲕⲓⲛⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩϩⲩⲥⲱⲡⲟⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲉϫⲱⲙ ⲇⲉ ϩⲱϥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲁϥⲛⲟϫϧⲟⲩ.

ولما خاطب موسى كل الشعب بجميع الوصايا التى بحسب الناموس، أخذ دم العجول والتيوس مع ماء صوفاً قرمزياً وزوفا. فنضحه على الكتاب نفسه وعلى كافة الشعب.

saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲇⲓⲁⲑⲏⲕⲏ ⲑⲏⲉⲧⲁ Ⲫϯ ϩⲉⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲥⲕⲩⲛⲏ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲥⲕⲉⲩⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⲁϥⲛⲟϫϧⲟⲩ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲛⲟϥ Ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲟⲩϧⲱⲛⲧ ϣⲁⲩⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲓⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲧϭⲛⲉ ⲫⲉⲛⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲁⲣⲉ ⲭⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϣⲱⲡⲓ.

قائلاً: هذا هو دم العهد الذى أوصاكم الله به. كذلك أيضاً القبة وجميع آنية الخدمة نضح عليها هكذا بالدم. وتقريباً تتطهر الأشياء جميعها بالدم كالناموس. وبغير سفك دم لا تكون مغفرة.

It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

فالضرورة تدعو إلى أن تتطهر أمثلة الأشياء التى فى السموات بهذه الأمور، أما السمويات فبذبائح أفضل من هذه لأن المسيح لم يدخل إلى الأقداس المصنوعة بالأيادى التى هى أشباه الأقداس الحقيقية، بل إلى السماء نفسها ليظهر الآن أمام الله عنا. لا ليقدم ذاته مرات كثيرة كما يدخل رئيس الكهنة إلى الأقداس فى كل سنة بدم ليس هو له،

For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

إلا فقد كان ينبغى له أن يتألم مراراً كثيرة منذ إنشاء العالم. ولكنه الآن قد ظهر مرة واحدة عند إنقضاء الدهور ليبطل الخطية بذبيحة نفسه. وكما وضع للناس أن يموتوا مرة ثم بعد ذلك الدينونة، هكذا المسيح أيضاً قدم ذاته مرة لكى يرفع خطايا كثيرين. وأما المرة الثانية فسيظهر بغير خطية، خلاصاً للذين ينتظرونه. نعمة الله الآب تحل على جميعنا. آمين.

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

فأذ قد تألم المسيح لأجلنا بالجسد، فتسلحوا أنتم أيضاً بهذا المثال. لأن الذي قد تألم بالجسد فقد شفى نفسه من الخطية. لكي لا يكون بعد فى شهوات البشر، بل يقضي باقي حياته بالجسد بهوى الله، لأنه يكفيكم ذلك الزمان الذي عبر إذ كنتم تعملون بهوى الأمم، متسكعين في الدعارة والشهوات وأدمان الخمر بأنواع كثيرة. والبطر والمنادمات واللهو والدنس وعبادة الأوثان (المحرمة).

Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Ⲉⲧⲉⲫⲏ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲟⲓ ⲛϣⲉⲙⲙⲟ ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲉⲛⲏⲟϫⲓⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲫⲱⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲣⲱ ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧ ⲁⲧⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ ⲉⲩϫⲉⲟⲩⲁ Ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁϯ ⲗⲟⲅⲟⲥ ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲧⲥⲉⲃⲧⲱⲧ ⲉϯϩⲁⲡ ⲉⲛⲏⲉⲧⲟⲛϧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲙⲱⲟⲩⲧ Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲩϩⲓϣⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ⲛⲛⲓⲕⲉⲣⲉϥⲙⲱⲟⲩⲧ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲥⲉϯϩⲁⲡ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲥⲁⲣⲝ: ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ ⲇⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ Ⲫϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁ: Ⲡϫⲱⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̀ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϥϧⲱⲛⲧϫⲉⲙⲕⲁϯ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲣⲱⲓⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ.

الأمر الذي فيه يستغربون إنكم لستم تركضون معهم إلى إنهراق عدم الصحة (الخلاعة) لأنهم يجدفون. أولئك الذين سيعطون الجواب للمستعد أن يدين الأحياء والأموات. فإنه من أجل هذا قد بشر الأموات أيضاً كي يدانوا مثل الناس بالجسد ويحيوا مثل الله بالروح. وإنما نهاية كل شئ قد أقتربت فتعقلوا واصحوا للصلوات.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

ولكن قبل كل شئ لتكن المحبة دائمة فيكم بعضكم لبعض، لأن المحبة تغطي كثرة الخطايا. وكونوا محبين الضيافة بعضكم لبعض، وتكونوا بغير تذمر. كل واحد وواحد فبحسب النعمة التي أخذها، تخدمون بها من تلقاء نفوسكم. كخزان صالحين لنعمة الله ذات الأنواع الكثيرة.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever.

ومن يتكلم فعلى حسب أقوال الله. ومن يخدم فعلى حسب القوة المهيأة من الله. لكي ما يتمجد الله في كل شئ بيسوع المسيح. ذلك الذي له المجد والعز إلى أبد الآبدين. آمين.

Do not love the world, nor things which are in the world. The world shall pass away and all its desires; but he who does the will of God shall abide forever.

لا تحبوا العالم ولا الأشياء التى فى العالم لأن العالم يزول وشهوته معه، أما من يصنع إرادة الله فذلك يثبت إلى الأبد.

And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux. And landing at Syracuse, we tarried there three days. And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli:

وبعد ثلاثة أشهر أقلعنا في سفينة إسكندرية. وكان عليها علامة الجوزاء (التوأمين) وكانت قد شتت في الجزيرة. ورسونا على سيراكوسا فمكثنا هناك ثلثة أيام. ولما خرجنا من هناك درنا إلى ريغيون. ومن بعد يوم واحد هبت علينا ريح الجنوب. وفي اليوم الثاني جئنا إلى بوطيولي.

where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome. And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage. And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.

واصبنا هناك الإخوة فطيبوا قلبنا لكي نقيم عندهم سبعة أيام وهكذا جئنا إلى رومية. فلما سمع الإخوة الذين هناك بخبرنا خرجوا لإستقبالنا إلى إبيوفوروا وإلى الثلثة الحوانيب. فلما رآهم بولس شكر الله وتشجع. ولما دخلنا إلى رومية أمر بولس أن يكون وحده مع الجندي الذي كان يحرسه.

And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me. But when the Jews spake against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of.

ولما كان بعد ثلاثة أيام إستدعى بولس وجهاء اليهود الساكنين هناك. فلما جاءوا جعل يقول لهم: أيها الرجال أخوتنا، أنا لم أصنع شيئاً أناصب به الشعب أوعوائد الآباء قيدت من أورشليم وأسلمت إلى أيدى الروم، وهؤلاء لما فحصوا أرادوا أن يطلقوني لأنهم لم يجدوا في شيئاً يكون موجباً للموت. وفيما كان اليهود يقاومون الخطاب اضطرني الأمر أن أستغيث بالملك، ليس كأنني أصنع شيئاً يوجب القذف على هذه الأمة.

For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain. And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee. But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.

فمن أجل هذه العلة كنت أطلب أن أراكم وأن أتكلم معكم، لأني من أجل رجاء إسرائيل أنا موثق بهذه السلسلة. أما هم فقالوا له: نحن لم يأتنا من اليهود كتابات لأجلك، ولم يقدم أحد من الإخوة فعرفنا، أوقال عنك شيئاً ردئياً. ونحن نرغب أن نسمع منك تلك التي نحن فيها مفكرون لأن من أجل هذا الخلاف الأمر ظاهر لنا في كل مكان يناصبون لأجله.

And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

فـوقتوا له يوماً فجاء إليه كثيرون إلى المنزل فجعل يقص عليهم ويشهد لهم لأجل ملكوت الله. ويقنع قلبهم لأجل يسوع من ناموس موسى والأنبياء من الصباح إلى المساء. فكان قوم منهم مقتنعين بما قيل وآخرون لم يؤمنوا.

And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: for the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. فانصرفوا وهم غير متفقين بعضهم مع بعض. لما قال لهم بولس كلمة أنه حسناً تكلم الروح القدس من قبل أشعياء النبى مع أبائكم قائلاً : أنطلق إلى هذا الشعب وقل لهم سماعاً تسمعون ولا تفهمون ونظراً تنظرون ولا تبصرون. لأن قلب هذا الشعب قد غلظ وثقلت آذانهم عن السماع وطمسوا عيونهم لئلا يبصروا بـعيونهم ويسمعوا بآذانهم، ويفهموا بقلوبهم ويعودوا فـأشـفيهم. فليكن معلوماً عندكم أن الله أرسل خلاصه إلى الأمم وهم أيضاً يطيعونه.

And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

وأقام بولس سنتين كاملتين في محل أستأجره لنفسه. وكان يقبل كل من يدخل إليه كارزاً بملكوت الله. ويعلم بكل مجاهرة من أجل الرب يسوع المسيح ولم يكن أحد يمنعه.

He who sits upon the Cherubim, rode a colt and entered Jerusalem. O what great humility.

They praise Him with alertness saying: "This is Emmanuel, Hosanna in the Highest, this is the King of Israel."

يسبحونه بتيقظ قائلين: هذا هو عمانوئيل. أوصنا في الأعالي. هذا هو ملك إسرائيل.

Let us say with David the chanter, "Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Good Lord, from now and till the end of the ages."

The Trisagion is said followed by the Litany of the Gospel. Then the Psalm is said in the Singarian tune followed by the first three Gospels.

ولما قربوا من أورشليم وجاءوا إلى بيت فاجي عند جبل الزيتون حينئذ بعث يسوع أثنين من تلاميذه قائلاً لهما: إذهبا إلى هذه القرية التي أمامكما فستجدان أتاناً مربوطاً وجحشاً معها، فحلاهما وأتياني بهما. وإن قال لكما أحد شيئاً فقولا أن الرب محتاج إليهما، فللوقت يرسلهما.

All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

فلما ذهبا التلميذان وصنعا كما أمرهما يسوع. وأتيا بالأتان والجحش ووضعا عليهما ثيابهما وجلس فوقهما. والجمع الأكثر فرشوا ثيابهم في الطريق وآخرون قطعوا أغصاناً من الشجر وفرشوها على الطريق. والجموع الذين تقدموا والذين تبعوا كانوا يصرخون قائلين: أوصنا لابن داود. مبارك الآتي باسم الرب. أوصنا في الأعالي.

And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee. And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲓ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲒⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅ ⲁⲥⲙⲟⲛⲙⲉⲛ ⲛϫⲉ ϯⲃⲁⲕⲓⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲉⲩϫⲱⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ: Ⲛⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓⲡⲣⲟⲫⲧⲏⲥ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲓⲣⲉⲙ ⲛⲁⲍⲁⲣⲉⲑ ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉⲁ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲁϥ ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏⲥ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϯ ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϣⲱⲡ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲧⲣⲁⲡⲉⲍⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓ-ⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲕⲉⲣⲙⲁ ⲁϥⲫⲟⲛϫⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲕⲁⲑⲉⲇⲣⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲏⲉⲧϯϭⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓⲉⲃⲟ ⲁⲗ.

ولما دخل أورشليم ارتجت المدينة كلها قائلة: من هو هذا. فقالت الجموع: هذا هو يسوع النبي الذي من ناصرة الجليل. ودخل يسوع إلى الهيكل وأخرج جميع الذين كانوا يبيعون ويشترون في الهيكل. وقلب موائد الصيارفة وكراسي باعة الحمام.

And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David;

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲥⲥϧⲏⲟⲩⲧ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲏⲓ ⲉⲩⲉⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓⲣⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲙⲙⲁⲛⲭⲱⲡ ⲛⲥⲟⲛⲓ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲛϫⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛϭⲁⲗⲉⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲫⲁϧⲣⲓ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ: Ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲏⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲥⲁϧ ⲉⲛⲓϣⲫⲏⲣⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲁⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲁⲗⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲧⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲉⲩϫⲱⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲱⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ ⲁⲩⲭⲣⲉⲙⲣⲉⲙ.

وقال لهم: مكتوب بيتي بيت الصلوة يدعى وأنتم جعلتموه مغارة للصوص. وتقدم إليه عمي وعرج في الهيكل فشفاهم. فلما رأى رؤساء الكهنة والكتبة العجائب التي صنعها. والأولاد يصيحون في الهيكل قائلين: أوصنا لابن داود.

they were sore displeased, And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲕⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲁⲛ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ: Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲱϣ ⲉⲛⲉϩϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲛⲁⲗⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲟⲩⲉⲙϭⲓ ⲁⲕⲥⲉⲃⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲙⲟⲩ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲭⲁⲩ ⲁϥⲓ ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϯⲃⲁⲕⲓ ⲉⲃⲏⲑⲁⲛⲓⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ.

تذمروا وقالوا له: أما تسمع ما يقوله هؤلاء؟ فقال لهم يسوع: نعم أما قرأتم قط في الكتب أنه من أفواه الأطفال والرضعان هيأت سبحاً؟ ثم تركهم وخرج ظاهر المدينة إلى بيت عنيا وبات هناك.

Glory be to God forever.

Hosanna in the highest. This is the King of Israel. Blessed is He, Who comes in the name of the Lord of Hosts.

Ⲱ̀ⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϭⲟⲥⲓ : ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲒⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ: ϥ̀ⲥ̀ⲙⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ: ϧⲉⲛ ⲫ̀ⲣⲁⲛ ⲙ̀Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓϫⲟⲙ.

أوصنا فى الأعالي. هذا هو ملك إسرائيل. مبارك الآتي بإسم رب القوات.

And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.

ولما قربوا من أورشليم وأتى إلى بيت فاجي وبيت عنيا عند جبل الزيتون، أرسل اثنين من تلاميذه وقال لهما: إذهبا إلى القرية التي أمامكما، فللوقت وأنتما داخلان إليها تجدان جحشاً مربوطاً وهذا لم يركبه أحد من الناس فحلاه وأتيا به. وإن قال لكما أحد لماذا تفعلان هذا فقولا أن الرب محتاج إليه. وللوقت يرسله إلى هنا.

And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϣⲉⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϫⲓⲙⲓⲛⲟⲩⲥⲏϫⲉϥⲥⲟⲛϩ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲟⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲓϧⲓⲣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϯⲟⲩⲱ ⲙⲙⲟϥ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲟϩⲓ ⲉⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓⲣⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϯⲟⲩⲱ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲏϫ: ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩϫⲟⲥⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲭⲁⲩ

فمضيا ووجدا الجحش مربوطاً عند الباب خارجاً على الطريق فحلاه. فقال لهما قوم من القيام هناك: ماذا تفعلان، تحلان الجحش. أما هما فقالا لهم كما قال يسوع فتركوهما.

And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲏϫ ϩⲁ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲗⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲃⲱⲥ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ ⲁⲩⲫⲱⲣϣ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϩⲃⲱⲥ ϩⲓⲡⲓⲙⲱⲓⲧ: ϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲩⲕⲱⲣϫ ⲛϩⲁⲛϫⲁⲗ ⲛϣϣⲏⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲓⲟϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲫⲱⲣϣ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲓⲡⲓⲙⲱⲓⲧ : Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲏⲉ ⲛⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ϩⲓⲧϩⲏ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲛⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ϩⲓⲫⲁϩⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲩⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ: ϫⲉ ⲱⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ϥⲥⲙⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⲙ̀Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅.

فأتيا بالجحش إلى يسوع وألقيا عليه ثيابهما فركب عليه، وكثيرون فرشوا ثيابهم في الطريق، وآخرون قطعوا أغصاناً من الشجر من الحقل وفرشوها في الطريق. والذين تقدموا والذين تبعوا كانوا يصرخون قائلين: أوصنا، مبارك الآتي باسم الرب.

Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest. And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

مباركة مملكة أبينا داود الآتية باسم الرب. أوصنا في الأعالي. فدخل يسوع أورشليم إلى الهيكل ولما نظر حوله إلى كل شئ إذ كان الوقت قد أمسى خرج إلى بيت عنيا مع الأثنى عشر.

He who sits on the Cherubim, today appeared in Jerusalem, riding on a colt with great glory, surrounded by ranks of Ni-angelos.

الجالس فوق الشاروبيم، اليوم ظهر في أورشليم، راكباً على جحشٍ بمجدٍ عظيم، وحوله طقوس ني آنجيلوس.

And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲧⲁϥϧⲱⲛⲧ ⲉⲃⲏⲑⲫⲁⲅⲏ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲃⲏⲑⲁⲛⲓⲁ ϧⲁⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲉϣⲁⲩⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲁ ⲛⲓϫⲱⲓⲧ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲣⲡ ⲛⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ: Ⲉϥϫⲱⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙⲁϣⲉⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲡⲁⲓϯⲙⲓ ⲉⲧⲭⲏ ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲑⲟ ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϣⲉ ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁϫⲓⲙⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲏϫ ⲉϥⲥⲟⲛϩ ⲫⲏⲉⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲁⲗⲏⲓ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲃⲟⲗϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗⲁⲛⲓⲧϥ : Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲟⲩⲁⲓ ϣⲉⲛ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲃⲱⲗ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁϫⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ : ϫⲉ Ⲡⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲙⲙⲟϥ

وإذ قرب من بيت فاجي وبيت عنيا عند الجبل الذى يدعى جبل الزيتون أرسل اثنين من تلاميذه قائلا: إذهبا إلى هذه القرية التي أمامكما وحين تدخلانها تجدان جحشاً مربوطاً لم يجلس عليه أحد من الناس قط فحلاه وأتيا به. وإن سألكما أحد وقال: لماذا تحلانه؟ فقولا له هكذا: إن الربَّ محتاجٌ إليه.

And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them. And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

Ⲉⲧⲁⲩϣⲉⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩ ⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡⲟⲩ ⲁⲩϫⲓⲙⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ : Ⲉⲩⲃⲱⲗ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲏϫ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥ ϭⲓⲥⲉⲩ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲃⲱⲗ ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲏϫ : Ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ Ⲡⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲭⲣⲓⲁ ⲙⲙⲟϥ

فلما ذهبَ المرسلان وجدا كما قال لهما. وفيما هما يحلان الجحش قال لهما أصحابه: لماذا تحلان الجحش؟ أما هما فقالا: إن الربَّ محتاجٌ إليه.

And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way. And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲉⲛϥ ϩⲁ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲃⲟⲣⲃⲉⲣ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϩⲃⲱⲥ ⲉϫⲉⲛⲡⲓⲥⲏϫ ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲗⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉⲣⲟϥ: Ⲉⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁⲩⲫⲱⲣϣ ⲛⲛⲟⲩϩⲃⲱⲥ ϩⲓⲡⲓⲙⲱⲓⲧ: Ⲉϥⲛⲁϧⲱⲛⲧ ⲇⲉ ϩⲏⲇⲏ ⲉⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⲛⲓⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓϫⲱⲓⲧ ⲁϥⲉⲣϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲙⲏϣ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉⲩⲣⲁϣⲓ ⲉⲩⲥⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲪϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛⲥⲙⲏ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲛⲓϫⲟⲙ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ

وأتيا به إلى يسوع وطرحا ثيابهما على الجحش وأركبا يسوع. وفيما هو سائر كانوا يفرشون ثيابهم في الطريق. وعندما قرب من منحدر جبل الزيتون ابتدأ كل جمهور التلاميذ يفرحون ويباركون الله بصوت عظيم لأجل جميع القوات التي نظروها،

Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ϥⲥⲙⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲠ: ⲟⲩϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϭⲟⲥⲓ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲪⲁⲣⲓⲥⲉⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲣⲉϥϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲁⲣⲓⲉⲡⲓⲧⲩⲙⲁⲛ ⲛⲛⲉⲕ-ⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲥⲉⲭⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ϯϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ :ϫⲉ ⲁⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲭⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓⲱⲛⲓ

قائلين: مبارك الملك الآتى باسم الرب. سلام فى السماء ومجد فى الاعالى. وأما بعض الفريسيين من الجمع فقالوا له: يا معلم أنتهر تلاميذك. فأجاب وقال لهم: أقول لكم إن سكت هؤلاء نطقت فالحجارة.

And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

فلما قرب ورأى المدينة بكى عليها قائلا: لو كنت أنت تعلمين فى هذا اليوم ما هو لسلامك!! ولكن الآن قد أخفي عن عينيك. فانه ستأتى أيام ويحيط بك اعداؤك ويحدقون بك ويحاصرونك من كل جهة،

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉⲣⲱϧⲧ ⲙⲙⲟ ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛϧⲏϯ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲭⲁ ⲟⲩⲱⲛⲓ ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲛⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧ: ⲉⲫⲙⲁ ϫⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲉⲙⲓ ⲉⲡⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲙ ⲡϣⲓⲛⲓ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲉⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲁϥⲉⲣϩⲏⲧⲥ ⲛϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧϯ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ: Ⲉϥϫⲱⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲥⲥϧⲏⲟⲩⲧ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲏⲓ ⲉϥⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⲛⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲁⲓϥ ⲙⲃⲏⲃ ⲛⲥⲟⲛⲓ

ويهدمونك وبنيك فيك ولا يتركون فيك حجرا على حجر لأنك لم تعرفى زمان افتقادك. ولما دخل الهيكل ابتدأ يخرج الذين كانوا يبيعون ويشترون فيه قائلا لهم: مكتوب أن بيتي بيت الصلاة وانتم جعلتموه مغارة للصوص.

And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him, and could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥ ϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲙⲙⲏⲛⲓ ⲡⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ ⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲏⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲥⲁϧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓϩⲟⲩⲁϯ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩⲕⲱϯ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲥⲁⲧⲁⲕⲟϥ : Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲓⲙⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲁⲓϥ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛⲁⲩⲁϣⲓ ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲉⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲣⲟϥ.

وكان يُعَلِّم كل يوم فى الهيكل وكان رؤساء الكهنة والكتبة ومقدمو الشعب يطلبون أن يهلكوه. ولم يجدوا ما يفعلون لأن الشعب كله كان متعلقا به يسمع منه.

Glory be to God forever.

والمجد لله دائماً.

They spread their garments in the way, and cut off branches from the tree, and they followed they cried and said: “Hosanna Epshiri en-Daveed.”

في الطريق فرشوا قمصان. ومن الشجر قطعوا أغصان. وهم يصيحون بالألحان. أوصنا إبشرى إن داﭭيد.

لكَ ينبغى التسبيح يا الله في صهيون. ولكَ تُوفى النذور فى أورشليم. استمع يا الله صلاتي لأنه إليكَ يأتى كل بشر. هلليلويا.

On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him. The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

وفي الغد سمع الجمع الكثير الذي جاء إلى العيد أن يسوع آت إلى أورشليم، فأخذوا سعف النخل وخرجوا للقائه. وكانوا يصرخون قائلين: أوصنا مبارك الآتي باسمِ الرب ملك إسرائيل. ووجد يسوع جحشا فركبه كما هو مكتوب: لا تخافي يا ابنة صهيون، هوذا ملكك يأتي راكبا على جحش ابن أتان. وهذه الأمور لم يفهمها تلاميذه أولاً، ولكن لما تمجد يسوع، حينئذ تذكروا أن هذه إنما كتبت من أجله وصنعت له. وكان الجمع الذي معه يشهد أنه دعا لعازر من القبر وأقامه من الأموات.

For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle. The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.

Ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲛⲁⲩⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϩⲣⲁϥ ⲡⲉ ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲣ ⲡⲁⲓ ⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ: Ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲉⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁϫⲉⲙϩⲏⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲗⲓ ⲁⲛ: ⲓⲥ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲁϥ ⲥⲁⲙⲉⲛϩⲏⲧϥ.

ومن أجل هذا خرج الجمع للقائه لأنهم سمعوا أنه كان قد صنع هذه الآية. فقال الفريسيون بعضهم لبعضٍ: انظروا. إنكم لا تنفعون شيئا. هوذا العالم كله قد ذهب وراءه.

Christ our Savior, in great humility, entered Jerusalem riding on a colt.

The children are praising saying, “Emmanuel, Hosanna in the highest, this is the King of Israel.”

Ⲓⲥ ⲛⲓⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲁ̀ⲗⲱⲟⲩⲓ̀: ⲉⲩϩⲱⲥ ϫⲉ Ⲉⲙⲙⲁⲛⲟⲩⲏⲗ: ⲱ̀ⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϭⲟⲥⲓ: ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲒⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ.

ها الأطفال يسبحون قائلين: عمانوئيل أوصانا في الأعالى هذا هو ملك إسرائيل.

A miracle full of glory, Who sits upon the cherubim, on such day, entered Jerusalem.

أعجوبة مملوءة مجداً، الجالس علي الشاروبيم فى مثل هذا اليوم نظر إلى أورشليم.
