Ⲕⲉⲫ ⲁ̅: ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ - ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲕⲉⲫ ⲃ̅:ⲁ̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲃ̅

صفونيا ١: ١٤ - ١٨، ٢: ١، ٢

For the great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and very speedy; the sound of the day of the Lord is made bitter and harsh. A mighty day of wrath is that day, a day of affliction and distress, a day of desolation and destruction, a day of gloominess and darkness, a day of cloud and vapour, a day of the trumpet and cry against the strong cities, and against the high towers. And I will greatly afflict the men, and they shall walk as blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord; therefore he shall pour out their blood as dust, and their flesh as dung. And their silver and their gold shall in nowise be able to rescue them in the day of the Lord’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealously; for he will bring a speedy destruction on all them that inhabit the land.

قريب هو يوم الرب العظيم. قريب هو وسريع جداً. صوت يوم الرب مر وشديد وصعب جداً. ذلك اليوم يوم غضب. يوم شدة وضيق. يوم عدم رحمة وهلاك. يوم ظلام وضباب. يوم غمام وقتام. يوم صافور وصراخ على المدن الحصينة وعلى الزوايا العالية. واضايق الناس فيمشون كالعمي لأنهم أخطأوا إلى الرب. فيسفح دمهم كالتراب ولحمهم كالجلة. لا فضتهم ولا ذهبهم يقدر أن يخلصهم في يوم غضب الرب. وبنار غيرته تفنى الأرض كلها لأنه يوقع قضاء سريعاً على جميع سكان الأرض.

Be ye gathered and closely joined together, O unchastened nation; before ye become as the flower that passes away, before the anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the wrath of the Lord come upon you. Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth; do judgment, and seek justice, and answer accordingly; that ye may be hid in the day of the wrath of the Lord.

اجتمعوا واحتشدوا يا أيها الأمم الجهلة. قبل أن تصيروا كالزهرة العابرة، قبل أن يدرككم غضب الرب. قبل أن يأتي عليكم يوم سخط الرب. اطلبوا الرب يا جميع متواضعي الأرض. اصنعوا الحكم واطلبوا العدل وجاوبوا بهما لعلكم تستترون في يوم رجز الرب.

Glory be the Holy Trinity, our God, forever and ever. Amen.

أبانا الذي فى السموات، ليتقدس إسمك، ليأت ملكوتك. لتكن مشيئتك كما فى السماء كذلك على الأرض. خبزنا الذي للغد أعطنا اليوم واغفر لنا ذنوبنا كما نغفر نحن أيضاً للمذنبين إلينا. ولا تُدخلنا فى تجربة لكن نجنا من الشرير بالمسيح يسوع ربنا. لأن لك الملك والقوة والمجد إلى الأبد. آمين.

خَلِّصْ شَعْبَكَ، بَارِكْ مِيرَاثَكَ، ارعهم وارفعهم إلى الأبد. استمع يا رب صوت تضرعي إذ أبتهل إليكَ. هلليلويا.

We beseech our Lord and God, that we may be worthy to hear the holy and Divine Gospel. In wisdom, let us attend to the Holy Gospel.

من أجل أن نكون مستحقين لسماع الإنجيل المقدس. إلى ربنا وإلهنا نتوسل بحكمة مستقيمين إنصتوا للإنجيل المقدس.

And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am? They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

وإذ كان يصلي منفرداً وحده، كان تلاميذه معه فسألهم قائلاً: من تقول الجموع إني أنا؟ أما هم فأجابوا وقالوا: يوحنا المعمدان، وآخرون إيليا. وآخرون يقولون أن نبياً من الأولين قد قام.

He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God. And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing; Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

فقال لهم: وأنتم من تقولون أني أنا؟ فأجاب بطرس وقال: أنت مسيح الله. فأما هو فانتهرهم وأوصاهم أن لا يقولوا هذا لأحد. وقال أنه ينبغي لابن البشر أن يتألم كثيراً، ويرذل من الشيوخ ورؤساء الكهنة والكتبة ويقتلونه وفي اليوم الثالث يقوم.

Our Savior prayed to teach us to be always awake for prayers. After He finished He asked His disciples “Whom say the people that I am?” They answered: Some say John the Baptist, but others say Elias, or one of the prophets. He, the Omniscient, was testing them. Then He aske, “Whom say you that I am?” Peter answered saying, “You are Christ, the Son of God, who came to the world to save us.”

صلَّى مخلصنا لكي يعلِّمنا أن نسهر كلّ حينٍ في الصلاة. وبعد أن فرغ سأل تلاميذه قائلاً: ماذا يقول الناس عني؟ فأجابوه: إن قوماً يقولون إنك أنت القديس يوحنا المعمدان، وآخرون يقولون أنتَ إيليا أوواحد من الأنبياء الأولين. وأن العارف بكلِّ شيء قَبلَ كونِه، امتحنهم ثم قال لهم: وأنتم ماذا تقولون؟ فأجاب بطرس وقال: أنتَ هو المسيح ابن الله الذي أتى إلى العالم حتى يخلِّصنا.

“Blessed are you Peter, the solid rock, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you but My Father did, so that you preach it to the world. As for the cursed Jews, they are rejecting me because of their envy, and will deliver me to death. I shall expose, and define them; and will cause them eternal disgrace and shame.”

طوباك أنتَ يا بطرس الصخرة الغير المتزعزعة، لأنه ليس لحم ودم أعلن لكَ هذا، لكن أبي هو الذي أظهر لكَ لكي تكرز به في المسكونة. أما اليهود المخالفون فإنهم يجحدونني من أجلِ حسدِهِم ويسلمونني إلى الموتِ وأنا أشهرهم وأفضحهم وأعطيهم عاراً وخزياً أبدياً.

Christ our Savior, has come and has borne suffering, that through His passion, He may save us.

Ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ: ⲁϥⲓ̀ ⲁϥϣⲉⲡⲙ̀ⲕⲁϩ: ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϥ ⲙ̀ⲕⲁⲩϩ: ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲥⲱϯ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ.

المسيح مخلصنا جاء وتألم عنا لكى بآلامه يخلصنا.

Let us glorify Him, and exalt His Name, for He has done us mercy, according to His great mercy.
