Zachariah 1:1-6

زكريا ١ : ١ – ٦

In the eighth month, in the second year of the reign of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zacharias, the son of Barachias, the son of Addo, the prophet, saying, The Lord has been very angry with your fathers. And thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the Lord Almighty: Turn to me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn to you, saith the Lord of hosts. And be ye not as your fathers, whom the prophets before charged, saying, Thus saith the Lord Almighty: Turn ye from your evil ways, and from your evil practices: but they hearkened not, and attended not to hearken to me, saith the Lord. Where are your fathers, and the prophets? Will they live for ever?

وفى الشهر الثامن من السنة الثانية لداريوس. كانت كلمة الرب إلى زكريا بن براشيا بن عدو النبى قائلاً. قد غضب الرب على آبائكم قائلاً قل لهم هكذا ما يقوله الرب الضابط الكل أرجعوا إلى وأنا أيضاً أرجع أليكم قال الرب الضابط الكل. ولا تكونوا كابائكم الذين خاطبهم الأنبياء الأولون قائلين. هذا ما يقوله الرب الضابط الكل أرجعوا عن طرقكم الرديئة وعن أعمالكم الشريرة فلم يصغوا قال الرب الضابط الكل. فأين هم آباؤكم والأنبياء فهل يحيون إلى الأبد

But do ye receive my words and mine ordinances, all that I command by my Spirit to my servants the prophets, who lived in the days of your fathers; and they answered and said, As the Lord Almighty determined to do to us, according to our ways, and according to our practices, so has he done to us.

Ⲡⲗⲏⲛ ⲛⲁⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ϣⲟⲡⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ: ⲛⲏ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉϯϩⲟⲛϩⲉⲛ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲁⲉⲃⲓⲁⲓⲕ ⲛⲓⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁⲩⲧⲁϩⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓⲟϯ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ: ϫⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲟⲩⲁϩ ⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ⲛϫⲉ Ⲡⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲧⲟⲕⲣⲁⲧⲱⲣ ⲉⲓⲣⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙⲱⲓⲧ: ⲛⲉⲙ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛ ϩⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲁϥⲓⲣⲓ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ.

لكن نواميسى وأقوالى إقبلوها تلك التى أمرت بها روح عبيدى الأنبياء الذين أدركوا آباءكم وخاطبوهم قائلين. كما أمر الرب الضابط الكل أن يصنع بكم بحسب طرقكم. وكأعمالكم هكذا صنع بكم مجداً للثالوث الأقدس ألهنا آمين.

Glory be the Holy Trinity, our God, forever and ever. Amen.

من أجل أن نكون مستحقين لسماع الإنجيل المقدس. إلى ربنا وإلهنا نتوسل بحكمة مستقيمين إنصتوا للإنجيل المقدس.

Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

فقال له واحد يارب أقليل هم الذين يخلصون. فأما هو فقال لهم: أجتهدوا أن تدخلوا من الباب الضيق. فأنى أقول لكم أن كثيرين سيطلبون أن يدخلوا فلا يستطيعون. فإذا بلغ أن يقوم رب البيت ليغلق الباب. فتبدأون بأن تقفوا خارجاً وتقرعون الباب قائلين: يارب يارب أفتح لنا. فيجيبكم قائلاً. أنى لست أعرفكم من أين أنتم.

Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

حينئذ تبتدئون أن تقولوا. أكلنا قدامك وشربنا. وعلمت فى شوارعنا. فيقول لكم أنى لا أعرفكم من أين أنتم. أذهبوا عنى يا جميع فاعلى الأثم. هناك يكون البكاء وصرير الأسنان. إذا رأيتم إبراهيم وأسحق ويعقوب وجميع الأنبياء فى ملكوت الله وأنتم تطردون خارجاً. وسيأتون من المشارق والمغارب والشمال والجنوب ويتكئون فى ملكوت الله. فهوذا آخرون يكونون أولين وأولون يكونون آخرين.

On His way to Jerusalem with Hid disciples, someone asked our Saviour: "Few are those who will be saved?" Our Saviour replied saying: "Strive to enter through the strait gate lest you should come and knock on the door and say O Lord open (the door) unto us; and He shall answer from inside and say unto you I do not know you, where are you from. Go away all you wrongful, peccants to the place of weeping and the granching of teeth. Many of the Gentiles will come from the east and the west and will nestle into the bosom of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, but you will be neglected outside dominated by the profanity. Repent and expiate, that your sins may be taken away.

أن مخلصنا جعل مسيره إلى أورشليم مع خواصه فقال له واحد من الجمع يارب قليلون هم الذين يخلصون. فأجابه مخلصنا قائلاً أحرصوا على الدخول من الباب الضيق لئلا تاتوا وتقرعوا الباب وتقولون يارب أفتح لنا.فيجيب هو من داخل قائلاً لكم أنى ما أعرفكم من أين أنتم أذهبوا عنى خارجاً يا جميع فاعلى الأثم حيث يكون البكاء وصرير الأسنان معاً، كثيرون من الأمم يأتون من المشرق والمغرب فيتكئون حضن إبراهيم وأسحق ويعقوب فى ملكوت السموات وأما أنتم فسيطردونكم خارجاً وتتسلط عليكم أثامكم. فأرجعوا عن طرقكم الرديئة لكى تمحى عنكم هفواتكم.

Christ our Savior, has come and has borne suffering, that through His passion, He may save us.
