Zephaniah 1:2-12

Ⲕⲉⲫ ⲁ̅: ⲃ̅-ⲓ̅ⲃ̅

صفونيا ١: ٢-١٢

Let there be an utter cutting off from the face of the land, saith the Lord. Let man and cattle be cut off; let the birds of the air and the fishes of the sea be cut off; and the ungodly shall fail, and I will take away the transgressors from the face of the land, saith the Lord. And I will stretch out mine hand upon Juda, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will remove the names of Baal out of this place, and the names of the priests; and them that worship the host of heaven upon the house-tops; and them that worship and swear by the Lord, and them that swear by their king; and them that turn aside from the Lord, and them that seek not the Lord, and them that cleave not to the Lord.

بالفناء فليفن الكل عن وجه الأرض يقول الرب. فليفن الإنسان والحيوان. وليفن طيور السماء وسمك البحر. ويضعف المنافقون. واستأصل المخالفين عن وجه الأرض يقول الرب. وامد يدي على يهوذا وعلى جميع سكان أورشليم وأبيد من هذا المكان أسماء البعل وأسماء الكهنة، والذين يسجدون على السطوح لجند السماء، والذين يحلفون بمولوخ الملك، والذين يحيدون عن الرب. والذين لم يطلبوا الرب ولم يلتمسوه.

Fear ye before the Lord God; for the day of the Lord is near; for the Lord has prepared his sacrifice, and has sanctified his guests. And it shall come to pass in the day of the Lord’s sacrifice, that I will take vengeance on the princes, and on the king’s house, and upon all that wear strange apparel. And I will openly take vengeance on the porches in that day, on the men that fill the house of the Lord their God with ungodliness and deceit.

Ⲁⲣⲓϩⲟϯ ϧⲁⲧϩⲏ ⲙⲠⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲫϯ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ϥϧⲉⲛⲧ ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲠ: ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲥⲟⲃϯ ⲙⲡⲉϥϣⲟⲩϣⲱⲟⲩϣⲓ ⲛϫⲉ Ⲡⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲧⲑⲁϩⲉⲙ ⲛⲧⲁϥ. Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲙⲡϣⲟⲩϣⲱⲟⲩϣⲓ ⲙⲠⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉⲓⲉϭⲓⲙⲡϣⲓϣ ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ: ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲏⲓ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲣⲟ: ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲉ ⲛⲓϩⲃⲱⲥ ⲛϣⲉⲛⲥ ⲧⲟⲓ ϩⲓⲱⲧⲟⲩ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲛⲁϭⲓ ⲙⲡϣⲓϣ ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲡⲩⲗⲏ ⲉⲧⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ: ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲙⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲏⲓ ⲙⲠⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲙⲙⲉⲧϭⲓⲛϫⲟⲛⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲭⲣⲟϥ:

خافوا الرب الإله لأن يوم الرب قريب، لأن الرب قد أعد ذبيحته وقدس مدعويه. ويكون في يوم ذبيحة الرب اني أنتقم من الرؤساء. ومن بيت الملك. ومن جميع لابس البرفير. وفي ذلك اليوم أنتقم من جميع الذين يتظاهرون على الأبواب الخارجية. الذين يملأون بيت الرب الههم ظلماً وخبثاً.

And there shall be in that day, saith the Lord, the sound of a cry from the gate of men slaying, and a howling from the second gate, and a great crashing from the hills. Lament, ye that inhabit the city that has been broken down, for all the people has become like Chanaan; and all that were exalted by silver have been utterly destroyed.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲥⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ Ⲡⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲥⲙⲏ ⲛϧⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ϯⲡⲩⲗⲏ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲏⲉⲧ ϧⲉⲗϧⲱⲗ: ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲉϣⲗⲏⲗⲟⲩⲓ ⲉϫⲉⲛ ϯⲙⲁϩⲥⲛⲟⲩϯ: ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛϧⲟⲗϧⲉⲗ ⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲑⲁⲗ Ⲁⲣⲓϩⲏⲃⲓ ⲑⲏⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϣⲉⲧϣⲱⲧⲥ: ϫⲉ ⲁϥϭⲓⲥⲙⲟⲧ ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲛ̀Ⲭⲁⲛⲁⲁⲛ:

ويكون في ذلك اليوم يقول الرب صوت صراخ من باب المذبوحين وتهليل في الباب الثاني وذبح عظيم من التلال. نوحي أيتها الساكنة في المنحوتات لأن جميع الشعب قد تشبه بكنعان، قد باد جميع المترفعين بالفضة.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will search Jerusalem with a candle, and will take vengeance on the men that despise the things committed to them; but they say in their hearts, The Lord will not do any good, neither will he do any evil.

وسيكون في ذلك اليوم إني أفتش أورشليم بسراج. وأعاقب الناس الذين يرفضون التحفظ القائلين في قلوبهم أن الرب لا ينفع ولا يضر. مجداً للثالوث القدوس إلهنا إلى الأبد وإلى أبد الأبد. آمين.

Glory be the Holy Trinity, our God, forever and ever. Amen.

أسبح وأرتل للرب. استمع يا رب صوتي الذي به دعوتك. ارحمني واستجب لي فإن لك قال قلبي. الليلويا.

من أجل أن نكون مستحقين لسماع الإنجيل المقدس. إلى ربنا وإلهنا نتوسل بحكمة مستقيمين إنصتوا للإنجيل المقدس.

O Lord, have compassion and mercy upon us, and make us worthy to listen to Thine Holy Gospel. A chapter from the Gospel according to Saint John the evangelist, may his blessings be with us. Amen.

John 12:20-36

Ⲕⲉⲫ ⲓ̅ⲃ̅: ⲕ̅-ⲗ̅

And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

وكان قوم من اليونانيين الذين صعدوا ليسجدوا في العيد. فجاء هؤلاء إلى فيلبس الذي من بيت صيدا الجليل وجعلوا يسألونه قائلين: يا سيدنا نريد أن نرى يسوع. فجاء فيلبس وقال لاندراوس. واندراوس وفيلبس قالا ليسوع.

And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

فأجابهما يسوع قائلاً: قد أتت الساعة التي يتمجد فيها ابن البشر. الحق الحق أقول لكم أن لم تقع حبة الحنطة في الأرض وتمت فهي تبقى وحدها. ولكن إن ماتت فهي تأتي بثمر كثير. من يحب نفسه يهلكها. ومن يبغض نفسه في هذا العالم يحفظها إلى حيوة أبدية.

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.

إن كان أحد يخدمني فليلحق بي وحيث أكون أنا فهناك أيضاً يكون خادمي. ومن يخدمني يكرمه الآب. الأن نفسي قد أضطربت. وماذا أقول. يا أبت نجني من هذه الساعة. ولكن من أجل هذا أتيت إلى هذه الساعة. يا أبت مجد ابنك. فجاء صوت من السماء قائلاً: قد مجدت وأيضاً أمجد. فالجمع الذي كان واقفاً وسمع قال: قد حدث رعد. وأخرون قالوا: قد كلمه ملاك.

Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

فأجاب يسوع وقال لهم: ليس من أجلي كان هذا الصوت بل من أجلكم. قد حضرت الأن دينونة هذا العالم. الأن يلقى رئيس هذا العالم خارجاً وأنا إن ارتفعت عن الأرض جذبت إلي كل أحد.

This he said, signifying what death he should die. The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

Ⲫⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲟ ⲉϥϯⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ ϫⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲁϣ ⲙⲙⲟⲩ ϥⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩ : Ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲙⲏϣ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ϣⲟⲡ ϣⲁ ⲉⲛⲉϩ : ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲱⲥ ⲕϫⲱ ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ϫⲉ ϩⲱϯ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲧⲟⲩϭⲉⲥ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙⲫⲣⲱⲙⲓ:ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙⲫⲣⲱⲙⲓ

قال هذا مشيراً إلى أية ميتة كان عتيداً أن يموتها. فأجابه الجمع قائلاً: نحن سمعنا من الناموس أن المسيح يدوم إلى الأبد. فكيف تقول أنت أنه ينبغي أن يرتفع ابن البشر. من هو هذا ابن البشر.

Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

فقال لهم يسوع: إن النور معكم زماناً يسيراً. فسيروا في النور ما دام لكم النور لئلا يدرككم الظلام. لأن من يمشي في الظلام لا يدري إلى أين يتوجه. ما دام لكم النور آمنوا بالنور لتصيروا أبناء النور.

If in the beginning of the month people became eager and long to see the moon’s brightness, then how much more is Christ our God, the Sun of Righteousness, who shared in the walking with the people and was found in the likeness of a servant; more so when the Greeks who came to the feast and saw His great glory. They said to Philip, who was from Bethsaide: “Sir, we would like to see Jesus.” Then Philip came and told Andrew, again they came and told Jesus.

إذا أزهر القمر في أول الشهر وأشرقت أشعته على الأرض تصير سائر الناس في اشتياق ويشتهوا أن يروا بهاه. فكم بالحري أعلا بزيادة المسيح إلهنا شمس البر الذي شارك في المشي مع الناس، ووجد في شكل العبد. لاسيما لما رأى اليونانيين الذين أتوا إلى العيد عظم مجده قالوا لفيلبس الذي من بيت صيدا: يا سيدنا نريد أن نرى يسوع. فجاء فيلبس وقال لإندراوس وأندراوس جاء وقال ليسوع.

Then Jesus, our Lord, said: “The hour has come, when the Son of man will be glorified.” By these words He was signifying His lifegiving death.

فقال ربنا يسوع: قد أتت الساعة لكي يتمجد ابن الإنسان. إبتدأ يرمز بهذا الكلام عن موته المعطي الحياة.

When all the multitudes heard His Divine oracles, they came to Jesus, our Savior, and he taught them with parables.

فلما سمع الجمع كله أقواله الإلهية هؤلاء وأولئك أجابهم المخلص وعلمهم بأمثال.

“Believe in the light, while you have the light, so that you may become the children of the light.”

آمنوا بالنور ما دام هو كائن معكم لكي تصيروا أبناء النور.

We, too, believe that He is truly the Light of the Father, whom He sent into the world.

نحن أيضاً نؤمن أنه هو بالحقيقة نور الآب الذي أرسله إلى العالم.

His Divine Glory illuminated us; we who are sitting in the darkness and shadow of death. And, He raised us to the original dignity from the abyss of our sins.

أضاء علينا بمجد لاهوته نحن الجلوس في الظلمة وظلال الموت. وأصعدنا إلى العلو الأول من هوة آثامنا.

Christ our Savior, has come and has borne suffering, that through His passion, He may save us.

المسيح مخلصنا جاء وتألم عنا لكى بآلامه يخلصنا.

Let us glorify Him, and exalt His Name, for He has done us mercy, according to His great mercy.

فلنمجده ونرفع إسمه لأنه صنع معنا رحمةً كعظيم رحمته.
