Ⲕⲉⲫ ⲃ̅:ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ ϣ̅ⲃ̅ⲗ̅ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲕⲉⲫ ⲅ̅ : ⲁ̅ ϣ̅ⲃ̅ⲗ̅

تكوين ٢ : ١٥ - ٣ : ٢٥

And the Lord God took the man whom he had formed, and placed him in the garden of Delight, to cultivate and keep it. And the Lord God gave a charge to Adam, saying, Of every tree which is in the garden thou mayest freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil—of it ye shall not eat, but in whatsoever day ye eat of it, ye shall surely die.

وأخذ الرب الإله الإنسان الذي خلقه ووضعه في فردوس النعيم ليفلحه ويحفظه. وأمر الرب الإله آدم قائلاً: من جميع الأشجار التي في الفردوس تأكل أكلاً. وأما شجرة معرفة ابتدال الخير والشر فلا تأكل منها. فإنك في اليوم الذي تأكل منها موتأ تموت.

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone, let us make for him a help suitable to him. And God formed yet farther out of the earth all the wild beasts of the field, and all the birds of the sky, and he brought them to Adam, to see what he would call them, and whatever Adam called any living creature, that was the name of it. And Adam gave names to all the cattle and to all the birds of the sky, and to all the wild beasts of the field, but for Adam there was not found a help like to himself. And God brought a trance upon Adam, and he slept, and he took one of his ribs, and filled up the flesh instead thereof. And God formed the rib which he took from Adam into a woman, and brought her to Adam.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ Ⲡⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲫϯ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲛⲉⲥ ⲁⲛⲛⲧⲉⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲛⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛⲟⲩⲃⲟⲓⲑⲟⲥ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲣⲟϥ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲠⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲫϯ ϭⲱⲗⲡ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛⲛⲓⲑⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲕⲟⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓϩⲁⲗⲁϯ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲫⲉ : ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϩⲁ Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ : ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧⲉ Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲟⲩⲩⲭⲏ ⲉⲥⲱⲛϧ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲟⲩ ⲣⲁⲛ : ⲁⲀⲇⲁⲙ ϯⲣⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲓⲧⲉⲃⲛⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓϩⲁⲗⲁϯ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲫⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲑⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲧⲕⲟⲓ: Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡⲟⲩϫⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲃⲟⲏⲑⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉϥⲟⲛⲓ ⲙⲙⲟϥ : ⲀⲪϯ ϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲣⲟⲙ ⲛϩⲩⲛⲓⲙ ⲉϫⲉⲛ Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ: ⲁϥϭⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲃⲏⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲥⲫⲓⲣⲱⲟⲩⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲙⲁϩ ⲡⲉⲥⲙⲁ ⲛⲥⲁⲣⲝ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲠⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲫϯ ⲕⲱⲧ ⲛϯⲃⲏⲧ ⲉⲧⲁϥϭⲓⲧⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲉⲩⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ : ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲛⲥ ϩⲁ Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ

وقال الرب الإله لا يحسن أن يكون الإنسان وحده فلنصنع له معيناً مثله. وجبل الرب الإله من الأرض جميع وحوش البرية وجميع طيور السماء. وأحضرها إلى آدم ليرى ماذا يسميها فكل ما سماه به آدم من نفس حية فهو اسمها. وسمى آدم جميع البهائم وطيور السماء وجميع وحوش البرية. وأما آدم فلم يجد له معيناً يشبهه. فأوقع الله على آدم سباتاً فنام. وأخذ ضلعاً من جنبه وملأ موضعها لحماً وبنى الرب الإله الضلع التي أخذها من آدم امرأة وأحضرها إلى آدم.

And Adam said, This now is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of her husband. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. And the two were naked, both Adam and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ: ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲕⲁⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲕⲁⲥ: ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲧⲁⲥⲁⲣⲝ: ⲑⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲉⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ: ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲁⲩϭⲓ ⲑⲁⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲥϩⲁⲓ: Ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲫⲁⲓ ⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲭⲁ ⲡⲉϥⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲉϥⲙⲁⲩ ⲛⲥⲱϥ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉⲧⲟⲙϥ ⲉⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲉϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙⲡⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲃⲏϣ ⲙⲡⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲡ ⲛϫⲉ Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϣⲓⲡⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ: ⲡⲓϩⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲥⲁⲃⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲑⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲭⲏ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁ Ⲡⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲫϯ ⲑⲁⲙⲓⲱⲟⲩ:

فقال آدم هذه الآن عظم من عظامى. ولحم من لحمى هذه تدعى أمرأة لأنها من أمرء أخذت. لذلك يترك الرجل أباه وأمه ويلتصق بأمرأته. ويكونان كلاهما جسداً واحداً. وكانا كلاهما عريانين معاً. آدم وأمرأته. وهما لا يخجلان. وكانت الحية أحكم جميع الوحوش التى خلقها الرب الأله على الأرض.

Now the serpent was the most crafty of all the brutes on the earth, which the Lord God made, and the serpent said to the woman, Wherefore has God said, Eat not of every tree of the garden? And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲓϩⲟϥ ⲛϯⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ: ϫⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲁⲪϯ ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ϣϣⲏⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ: Ⲡⲉϫⲉ ϯⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲙⲡⲓϩⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓϣϣⲏⲛ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ ⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲙ : ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲇⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⲙⲡⲓϣϣⲏⲛ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲙⲏϯ ⲙⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ ⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲛϫⲉ Ⲫϯ ϫⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲙⲟϥ : ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϭⲟϩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⲛⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϣⲧⲉⲙ ⲙⲟⲩ

فقالت الحية للمرأة. لماذا قال الله لكما أن لا تأكلا من جميع شجر الفردوس. فقالت المرأة للحية : أن من جميع ثمار شجر الفردوس نأكل وأما ثمر الشجرة التى فى وسط الفردوس فقال الله لا تأكلا منه ولا تمساه لئلا تموتا.

And the serpent said to the woman, Ye shall not surely die. For God knew that in whatever day ye should eat of it your eyes would be opened, and ye would be as gods, knowing good and evil. And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes to look upon and beautiful to contemplate, and having taken of its fruit she ate, and she gave to her husband also with her, and they ate. And the eyes of both were opened, and they perceived that they were naked, and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons to go round them. And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the afternoon; and both Adam and his wife hid themselves from the face of the Lord God in the midst of the trees of the garden.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ ⲡⲓϩⲟϥ ⲛϯⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁ ⲙⲟⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩ: ⲛⲁϥⲉⲙⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϫⲉ Ⲫϯϫⲉⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲙⲑϥ ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛⲃⲁⲗ: ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲉⲣ ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ: ⲉⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲟⲩⲡⲉⲑⲛⲁ-ⲛⲉϥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ: Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥⲛⲁⲩ ⲛϫⲉ ϯⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲛⲉ ⲡⲓϣϣⲏⲛ ⲉⲫⲟⲩⲟⲙϥ ϥⲣⲁⲛⲁ ⲛⲛⲓⲃⲁⲗ ⲉⲫⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲣⲟϥ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲛⲉⲥⲱϥ ⲉⲡϯⲛⲓⲧⲧⲥ ⲛⲁϥ : ⲁⲥϭⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲧⲁϩ ⲁⲥⲟⲩⲱⲙ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϯ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲕⲉϩⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛ ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲃⲁⲗ ⲙⲡⲥⲛⲁⲩ : ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩ ⲉⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲃⲏϣ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲑⲱⲣⲡ ⲛϩⲁⲛϫⲱⲃⲓ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲃⲱ ⲛⲕⲉⲛⲧⲉ : ⲁⲩⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲁⲕⲏⲥ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉ ⲧⲥⲙⲏ ⲙⲠⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲫϯ ⲉϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ ⲙⲫⲛⲁⲩ ⲛⲣⲟⲩϩⲓ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲭⲱⲡ ⲛϫⲉ Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲉϥⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗϩⲁ ⲡϩⲟ ⲙⲠⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲫϯ: ϧⲉⲛ ⲑⲙⲏϯ ⲛⲛⲓϣϣⲏⲛ ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ

فقالت الحية للمرأة لن تموتا موتاً. أنما الله عالم أنكما فى اليوم الذى تأكلان منه تنفتح أعينكما. وتصيران كآلهة عار فى الخير والشر. فرأت المرأة أن الشجرة جيدة للأكل ومبهجة للنظر حسنة التأمل أليها فأخذت من ثمرها وأكلت. وأعطت بعلها أيضاً معها فأكل. فأنفتحت أعينهما كلاهما وعلما أنهما عريانان فحاطا من ورق التين وصنعا لهما مآزر. فسمعا صوت الرب الأله ماشياً فى الفردوس وقت المساء. فأختفيا آدو وزوجته من وجه الرب الأله فى وسط شجر الفردوس.

And the Lord God called Adam and said to him, Adam, where art thou? And he said to him, I heard thy voice as thou walkedst in the garden, and I feared because I was naked and I hid myself. And God said to him, Who told thee that thou wast naked, unless thou hast eaten of the tree concerning which I charged thee of it alone not to eat? And Adam said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me—she gave me of the tree and I ate. And the Lord God said to the woman, Why hast thou done this? And the woman said, The serpent deceived me and I ate.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩϯ ⲛϫⲉⲠⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲫϯ ⲉⲀⲇⲁⲙ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁⲕⲫⲱⲛ Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ: ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ : ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲕⲥⲙⲏ ⲉⲧⲁⲓⲥⲟⲑⲙⲉⲥ ⲉⲕ ⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ ⲁⲓⲉⲣϩⲟϯ: ϫⲉ ϯⲃⲏϣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓⲭⲱⲡ: ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉ ⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲙⲟⲕ ϫⲉ ⲕⲃⲏϣ ⲉⲃⲏⲗ ϫⲉ ⲁⲕⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓϣϣⲏⲛ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϩⲉⲛϩⲟⲛⲕ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲙⲙⲁⲩⲁⲧϥ ⲙⲡⲉⲣ ⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲙⲟϥ : ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲕⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲙⲟϥ: Ⲡⲉϫⲉ Ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ϫⲉ ϯⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲧⲏⲓⲥ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲛⲑⲟⲥ ⲁⲥϯⲛⲏⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓϣϣⲏⲛ ⲁⲓⲟⲩⲱⲙ Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ Ⲡⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲫϯ ⲛϯⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ ϫⲉ ⲉⲑⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲁⲣⲉ ⲉⲣⲫⲁⲓ: ⲡⲉϫⲉ ϯⲥϩⲓⲙⲓ : ϫⲉ ⲡⲓϩⲟϥ ⲡⲉⲉⲧⲁϥⲉⲣϩⲁⲗ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲁⲓⲟⲩⲱⲙ:

فنادى الرب الأله وقال له. أين أنت يا آدم. فقال له سمعت صوتك ماشياً فى الفردوس فخفت. لأنى عريان فأختبأت. فقال له ومن أعلمك أنك عريان إلا أنك أكلت من الشجرة التى أوصيتك أن لا تأكل منها وحدها. فأكلت منها. فقال آدم أن المرأة التى أعطيتها لى هى التى أعطتنى من الشجرة فأكلت. فقال الرب الأله للمرأة. لما فعلت هذا. فقالت المرأة الحية أغوتنى فأكلت.

فقال الرب الأله للحية. لأنك فعلت هذا. فملعونة أنت من بين جميع البهائم. وجميع الوحوش التى على وجه الأرض وتدبين على صدرك وبطنك. وتأكلين تراباً طول أيام حياتك. وأضع عداوة بينك وبين المرأة. وبين نسلك ونسلها. فهو يسحق رأسك وأنت ترصدين عقبه. وقال للمرأة. تكثيراً أكثر أحزان قلبك وتنهدك. وبالأحزان ( بالأوجاع ) تلدين البنين. وإلى بعلك يكون رجوعك وهو يسود عليك.

And to Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened to the voice of thy wife, and eaten of the tree concerning which I charged thee of it only not to eat—of that thou hast eaten, cursed is the ground in thy labours, in pain shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life. Thorns and thistles shall it bring forth to thee, and thou shalt eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat thy bread until thou return to the earth out of which thou wast taken, for earth thou art and to earth thou shalt return. And Adam called the name of his wife Life, because she was the mother of all living.

وقال لآدم. بما أنك أطعت إمرأتك. وأكلت من الشجرة التى أوصيتك قائلاً : هذه وحدها لا تأكل منها. فملعونة الأرض بسبب أعمالك. بالمشقة تأكل منها كل أيام حياتك. وشوكاً وحسكاً تنبت لك. وتأكل عشب الأرض وبعرق وجهك تأكل خبزك. حتى تعود إلى الأرض التى أخذت منها. لأنك تراب وإلى التراب تعود. ودعا آدم أسم أمراته حواء. لأنها أم كل حي.

And the Lord God made for Adam and his wife garments of skin, and clothed them. And God said, Behold, Adam is become as one of us, to know good and evil, and now lest at any time he stretch forth his hand, and take of the tree of life and eat, and so he shall live forever— So the Lord God sent him forth out of the garden of Delight to cultivate the ground out of which he was taken. And he cast out Adam and caused him to dwell over against the garden of Delight, and stationed the cherubs and the fiery sword that turns about to keep the way of the tree of life.

وصنع الرب الأله لآدم وأمرأته أقمصة من جلد وكساهما وقال الرب الأله. هوذا آدم قد صار كواحد منا يعرف الخير والشر والآن لعله يمد يده إلى شجرة الحياة فيأكل منها ويحيا إلى الأبد فأخرجه الرب الأله من فردوس النعيم. ليعمل فى الأرض التى أخذ منها. فأخرج آدم فسكن أمام فردوس النعيم. وجعل الكاروبيم وسيفأ نارياً متقلباً لحراسة طريق شجرة الحياة. مجداً للثالوث.

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith God. Speak, ye priests, to the heart of Jerusalem; comfort her, for her humiliation is accomplished, her sin is put away: for she has received of the Lord’s hand double the amount of her sins. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight the paths of our God. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low: and all the crooked ways shall become straight, and the rough places plains. And the glory of the Lord shall appear, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God: for the Lord has spoken it.

أمثال سليمان بن داود الملك. الذى ملك على أسرائيل لمعرفة الحكمة والأدب. لأدراك أقوال الفطنة. لقبول تدرب الكلام. لتعليم العدل الحقيقى. والحكم المستقيم. لكى تعطى لمن لا شر فيهم حكمة. وعقلا وفهما للشاب الحدث. لأن الحكيم إذا سمع هذه فيزداد حكمة. والفهيم يكتسب تدبيراً. فيفهم المثل والكلام العويص وأقوال الحكماء وغوامضهم.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; and there is good understanding to all that practise it: and piety toward God is the beginning of discernment; but the ungodly will set at nought wisdom and instruction. Hear, my son, the instruction of thy father, and reject not the rules of thy mother. For thou shalt receive for thine head a crown of graces, and a chain of gold round thy neck.

رأس الحكمة مخافة الرب. والفهم صالح لكل من يعمل به. وتقوى الله هى بدء الفهم. الحكمة والأدب يحتقرها المنافقون. أسمع يا أبنى تأديب أبيك. ولا ترفض مشورة أمك. فأنهما أكليل نعمة لرأسك وقلادة ذهب لعنقك. مجداً للثالوث الأقدس.

ولما دخل إلى الهيكل تقدم إليه رؤساء الكهنة وشيوخ الشعب يعلم وهو قائلين له. بأى سلطان تفعل هذا. ومن أعطاك هذا السلطان. فأجاب يسوع وقال لهم. وأنا أيضاً أسألكم كلمة. فأن أعلمتمونى عنها أعلمكم أنا أيضاً بأى سلطان فعلت هذا. معمودية يوحنا من أين كانت من السماء أم من الناس. أما هم فكانوا يفكرون فى أنفسهم قائلين. أن قلنا من السماء يقول لنا فلماذا لم تؤمنوا به. فأنا نخاف من الجمع لأن يوحنا كان عندهم مثل نبي.فأجابوا وقالوا ليسوع لا نعلم. فقال لهم هو أيضاً ولا أنا أعلمكم بأى سلطان فعلت هذا.

طرح الساعة التاسعة من يوم الإثنين من البصخة المقدسة بركاتها علينا. آمين.

Reader

With your immpeccable hands O Lord you created me and made me shine like crimson. You bestowed on me the comforts of paradise and the fruits of the trees. You awarded me the hegemony if your dominion over all creation under heaven and made all things below the animals and beasts. You did not deprive me of respect and subordinated everything to me. You gave me oone commandment and I disobeyed you O my Lord and my God.

بيديك اللتين بلاعيب يارب خلقتنى وزينتنى مضيئاً كالقرمصى ووهبت لى نعيم الفردوس وثمر الأشجار أطيته لى أنعاماً. منحتنى عزة سلطانك على كل الخليقة التى تحت السماء وجعلت سائر الأشياء دون جنس الهوام والوحوش. ولم تعوزنى شيئاً من الكرامة وجعلت كل شئ يخضع لى. وأوصيتنى وصية فخالفتها ياربى وإلهى.

I ask of you O Good one to have mercy upon me according to thy great mercy.

أسألك أيها الصالح أن تصنع معى رحمة كعظيم رحمتك.

When I saw that you were alone O Adam when everything else was paired I created from your bones someone modelled after you who look like you and found it inappropriate to have you alone by yourself. I was concerned about you and gave you power over her and on all creation to be under your dominion. You obeyed her and disregarded my instruction. You rejected my words and my commandments.

رأيتك يا آدم كائناً وحدك وكل شئ غير مفرد، فجبلت لك واحدة من عظامك كشبهك ومثالك، وقلت لا يحسن أن تكون وحدك، فأهئممت بك وفعلت لك هذا وسلطتك عليها وعلى جميع المسكونة كى تكون تحت سلطانك فأطعتها وتركت أوامرى ورفضت قولى ووصاياى.

I ask of you O Good one to have mercy upon me according to thy great mercy.

أسألك أيها الصالح أن تصنع معى رحمة كعظيم رحمتك.

Remember me O Lord. From dust I am and like the herbs of the field you gave me the prowess of your power and diminished my humility. One tree I commanded you not to touch; why did you disobey my commandment. You implicated the woman whom I did not command as I did with you. You obeyed her, rejected my words and then hid among the trees so that I do not see you.

أذكرني يا رب أنني تراب وكمثل العشب الذي في الحقل اعطيتني يا ربي عزة قوتك فتناقصت حقارتي. شجرة واحدة أوصيتك عنها فكيف صرت مخالفاً لوصيتي. واستظلمت المرأة هذه التي لم أوصها مثلك، فاطعتها ورفضت كلامي واختفيت في الشجر كيلا أراك.

I ask of you O Good one to have mercy upon me according to thy great mercy.

أسألك أيها الصالح أن تصنع معى رحمة كعظيم رحمتك.

You desired divinity and wanted tobe a creator like your Lord. From the fruits of the tree you distinguished between the good and the evil to become a God. Adam where is the glory that was betowed on you. You lost the cloths I dressed you with. With leaves of trees you covered your own nakedness. I created you and knew you before you were.

وفكرت (يا آدم) فى العلويات أعنى الألوهية وأنك تصير خالقاً مثل سيدك. وبثمرة الشجرة علمت الخير والشر لتصير إلهاً يا آدم أين هو المجد الذى كان لك، تعريت من الحلة التى ألبستك أياها، وأخذت الورق من الشجر وسترت عورتك من وجهك. أعلمتك إننى خلقتك وعرفتك قبل أن تكون.

I ask of you O Good one to have mercy upon me according to thy great mercy.

أسألك أيها الصالح أن تصنع معى رحمة كعظيم رحمتك.

From the beginning I informed you and instructed you with my commandments. Of all the trees in paradise I told you I told you about this particular tree. Its fruits bear the bitterness of death and that if you ate from it, death you suffer. I did not keep you ignorant about it but I informed you before this happens. You lent the woman your ear and obeyed her. Therefore, I shall bring the punishment upon.

سبقت فأخترتك من أول الأمر، سلمت إليك كلام وصاياى. وهكذا أعلمتك عن هذه الشجرة من دون جميع الشجر الذى فى الفردوس، هذه التى فى ثمرتها مرارة الموت وإنك إن أكلت منها فموتاً تموت، وأنا لم أدعك جاهلاً بل أعلمتك قبل أن يكون هذا. فأملت سمعك وأطعتها كذلك سأجلب عليك العقوبة.

أسألك أيها الصالح أن تصنع معى رحمة كعظيم رحمتك.

O Adam from you are and to dust you shall return to chasten you for your transgression. And you Eve why did you do this and disobey my commandments. It was not that an angel or a bird talked to you about it but a serpant, beast by its nature and you listened to his advice. Many shal be your sorrows and great will be your weeping. I will create animosity between you and ther serpent and between your descendants and hers. He will watch their heels and your descendants will crush his head.

يا آدم أنت تراب وساردك إلى التراب عوض الأعمال التى تجاسرت عليها، وأنت يا حواء لماذا صنعت هكذا وخالفت وصاياى؟ ليس ملاك تكلم معك ولا طائر من الجو. بل وحش ثعبان بطبيعته فسمعت منه مشورته. فكثيرة هى الأحزان التى تكون لك والتنهيد والنوح العظيمان وسأقيم عداوة بينك وبين الحية وبين نسلك ونسلها إلى أنقضاء الدهور. فهو يرصد عقب نسلك ونسلك يسحق رأسه.

أسألك أيها الصالح أن تصنع معى رحمة كعظيم رحمتك.

The Saviour then summoned the serpent and cursed her and her nature saying: Cursed are you among all the beasts. On your belly you shall travel and on the dust of the earth you shall feed because of the distrust you causeed. The enemy dwelt in you and you became a shelter for the evil. And, because man listened to you, crushed shall be the whole earth with him.

ثم دعا المخلص الحية ولعنها مع طبيعتها، وقال ملعونة أنت من بين جميع الوحوش وعلى بطنك تسعين وتراب الأرض يكون لك طعاماً من أجل أنك صرت عثرة، فوجد العدو مسكناً فيك وصرت بيتأ للشرير ومن أجل أن الرجل أمال سمعه إليك فالأرض كلها ملعونة معه.

أسألك أيها الصالح أن تصنع معى رحمة كعظيم رحمتك.

As for the man who is Adam, the first to dwell in paradise, He told him: because you listened to your spouse I cursed the earth for your deeds. You will live heart saddenned and the earth will grow for you thisles and spines. The He told Eve: in pains and agony you shall give births and you shall return to your spouse and he will dominate you and you shall have no rest in your life.

وأما الرجل الذى هو آدم أول من سكن فى الفردوس. فقال له من أجل أنك سمعت لإمرأتك لعنت الأرض بأعمالك. وتعيش يا آدم حزين القلب والأرض تنبت لك حسكاً وشوكاً ثم قال لحواء ستلدين البنين بالأحزان والتنهد. وترجعين إلى بعلك وهو يتسلط عليك ولا تكون لك راحة فى حياتك.

أسألك أيها الصالح أن تصنع معى رحمة كعظيم رحمتك.

Then God said behold Adam became as one of us; discerns between the right and the evil. I shall not leave him in paradise lest he should reach for the tree of life and eat of it. He expelled Adam and his spouse from the paradise and assigned a cherub carrying a sword of fire to guard its gates.

ثم قال الرب هوذا آدم صار كواحد منا يعرف الخير والشر فلا أتركه فى الفردوس لئلا يمد يمينه ويأكل من شجرة الحياة. فأخرج آدم وأمرأته معه من فردوس النعيم وجعل كاروبيم وسيف نار لحراسة باب الفردوس.

أسألك أيها الصالح أن تصنع معى رحمة كعظيم رحمتك.

Where do I go from your spirit and where do I escape from your face. If I ascended to the heights of heaven or descended to the lowest places I find you there. And Adam went to a lower place across from the gate of paradise to till the land and eat of its fruits where he was in the grasp of the Deceptor. And Adam and Eve were condemned to the servitude of slavery - because he followed his whim - he and all his sons untill the fullness of time.

إلى أين أذهب من روحك وإلى أين أهرب من وجهك إن صعدت إلى أعلا السموات أو إلى الأماكن السفلية أجدك هناك. فمضى آدم إلى مكان أسفل أمام باب الفردوس ليحرث فى الأرض ويأكل ثمرتها عندما كان فى خديعة المضل. وكتب على آدم وحواء كتاب رق العبودية لأنه تبع هواءه هو وبنوه كلهم إلى كمال الدهور.

The priest and the congregation say

Christ our Savior, has come and has borne suffering, that through His passion, He may save us.

Ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ: ⲁϥⲓ̀ ⲁϥϣⲉⲡⲙ̀ⲕⲁϩ: ϩⲓⲛⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϥ ⲙ̀ⲕⲁⲩϩ: ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲥⲱϯ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ.

المسيح مخلصنا جاء وتألم عنا لكى بآلامه يخلصنا.

Let us glorify Him, and exalt His Name, for He has done us mercy, according to His great mercy.

Ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲛϯⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ: ⲧⲉⲛϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ: ϫⲉ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲛ: ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲕⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲓ.

فلنمجده ونرفع إسمه لأنه صنع معنا رحمةً كعظيم رحمته.
