Ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ Ⲁⲙⲱⲥ ⲡⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ: ⲉ̀ⲣⲉⲡⲉϥⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲛ ⲁ̀ⲙⲏⲛ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ.

Amos 5:18-27

Ⲕⲉⲫ ⲉ̅ : ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ ϣ̅ⲃ̅ⲗ̅

ص ٥ : ١٨ -٢٧

Woe to you that desire the day of the Lord! what is this day of the Lord to you? whereas it is darkness, and not light. As if a man should flee from the face of a lion, and a bear should meet him; and he should spring into his house, and lean his hands upon the wall, and a serpent should bite him. Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light? and is not this day gloom without brightness? I hate, I reject your feasts, and I will not smell your meat-offerings in your general assemblies. Wherefore if ye should bring me your whole-burnt-sacrifices and meat-offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I have respect to your grand peace-offerings. Remove from me the sound of thy songs, and I will not hear the music of thine instruments. But let judgment roll down as water, and righteousness as an impassable torrent. Have ye offered to me victims and sacrifices, O house of Israel, forty years in the wilderness? Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Raephan, the images of them which ye made for yourselves. And I will carry you away beyond Damascus, saith the Lord, the Almighty God is his name.

ويل للذين يشتهون يوم الرب، ما بغيتكم في يوم الرب، فإن هذا اليوم ظلام لا نور، كما إذا هرب إنسان من وجه أسد فصادفته لبوة فيجيئ إلي بيته ويرفع يده علي الحائط فتلدغه حية، أليس يوم ظلام لا نور وضباب لا ضياء له ؟ لقد أبغضت أعيادك ورذلتها ولست أشم رائحة في أيام أعيادكم العظيمة، إني إذا قربتم لي محرقاتكم وتقدماتكم لا أقبلها، ولست أنظر إلي فدية شكركم، أبعد عني صوت تسابيحك، ومزمار أرغنك لست أسمعه، وليجر القضاء كالماء والعدل كالوادي الذي لايعبر. هل قربتم لي ذبائح وتقدمات في البرية أربعين سنة يا إسرائيل يقول الرب ؟ بل حملتم خيمة ملوككم وكوكب إلهكم رفات التماثيل التي صنعتموها لكم، فأسبيكم إلي ماوراء دمشق قال الرب الإله الضابط الكل هو إسمه.مجداً للثالوث الأقدس.

Glory be the Holy Trinity, our God, forever and ever. Amen.

We beseech our Lord and God, that we may be worthy to hear the holy and Divine Gospel. In wisdom, let us attend to the Holy Gospel.

من أجل أن نكون مستحقين لسماع الإنجيل المقدس. إلى ربنا وإلهنا نتوسل بحكمة مستقيمين إنصتوا للإنجيل المقدس.

Matthew 24:36-51

Ⲕⲉⲫ ⲕ̅ⲇ̅: ⲗ̅ ̅ϣ̅ⲃ̅ⲗ̅

ص٢٤ : ٣٦ -٥١

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

وأما ذلك اليوم وتلك الساعة، فلا يعلمهما أحد ولا ملائكة السموات، إلا الآب وحده. وكما كان في أيام نوح، كذلك يكون في ظهور إبن الإنسان، لأنه كما كانوا قبل أيام الطوفان يأكلون ويشربون ويتزوجون ويزوجون إلي اليوم الذي دخل فيه نوح إلي الفلك، ولم يعلموا حتي جاء الطوفان وأخذ الواحد ويترك الآخر وإثنتان تطحنان علي رحي، فتؤخذ الواحدة وتترك الأخرى. إسهروا إذا لأنكم لا تعلمون في أية ساعة يأتي ربكم. وإعلموا هذا، أنه لو علم رب البيت في أية ساعة يأتي السارق لسهر ولم يدع بيته ينقب، فلذلك كونوا انتم أيضاً مستعدين لأن إبن الإنسان يأتي في ساعة لا تعرفونها. فمن تري هو العبد الأمين الحكيم الذي يقيمه سيده علي عبيده ليعطيهم طعامهم في حينه ؟ ! طوبي لذلك العبد الذي إذا جاء سيده فيجده يفعل هكذا. الحق أقول لكم، إنه يقيمه علي جميع ماله. ولكن إن قال ذلك العبد الشرير في قلبه، إن سيدي يبطئ قدومه فيبتدئ يضرب العبيد رفقاءه ويأكل ويشرب مع السكيرين، فيأتي سيد ذلك العبد في يوم لا ينتظره، وساعة لا يعرفها فيشقه من وسطه ويجعل نصيبه مع المرائين هناك يكون البكاء وصرير الاسنان.والمجد لله دائماً.

Reader

Contemplate ye who exalt the Lord, the kindness of Christ our God: observe how He calls His chosen who fulfill His will, prudent and honest servants. I mean those who preserve his commandments, and look forward to their awards; those who remain awake and alert, that they may receive the promised rewards. As the Bible asserts that those servants – whose master makes a surprise, visit and finds them awake – are blessed. Verily I say: He will install His servant to take care of His property. So for He whom He finds derelict in his duties and neglecting them often, one day, his Master will make a surprise visit, repudiate him, and make his lot with the hypocrites, in the place of darkness and suffering. Let us awake and be alert in anticipation of the day of the Lord so that we may rejoice with Him in His dwelling and receive His clemencies and mercies.

تأملوا يا عابدي الإله إلي تحنن المسيح إلهنا، كيف يدعو أصفياءه الصانعين إرادته عبيداً حكماء وأمناء، أعني الذين يحفظون وصاياه المتوقعين أجراً صالحاً، الساهرين المتيقظين لكي ينالوا المواعيد كما قال في الإنجيل إن ذلك العبد مغبوطاً، أعني الذي يأتي سيده بغتة فيجده متغافلاً فيطرد يوماً بيوم، فيجئ سيده في ساعة لا يعرفها فيشقه من وسطه ويجعل نصيبه مع المرائين في الظلمة وموضع العذاب، فلنتيقظ من غفلتنا وننتظر يوم الرب لنفرح معه في دياره ونفوز بمراحمه ورافاته.
