Prayer of Thanksgiving for the Communion

After the communion, the congregation says the Prayer of Thanksgiving for the communion. The deacon says

Stand up for prayer.

Ⲉⲡⲓ ⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⲥ̀ⲧⲁⲑⲏⲧⲉ.

للصلاة قفوا.

Peace be with all.

Ⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲡⲁⲥⲓ.

السلام للكل.

And with your spirit.

Ⲕⲉ ⲧⲱ ⲡ̀ⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁ ⲧⲓ ⲥⲟⲩ.

ولروحك أيضا.

Priest

Our mouth is filled with gladness and our tongue with rejoicing, for partaking from Thine immortal mysteries, O Lord.

Ⲣⲱⲛ ⲁϥⲙⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲣⲁϣⲓ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉⲛⲗⲁⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲑⲉⲗⲏⲗ: ⲉ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲛϫⲓⲛϭⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲕⲙⲩⲥⲧⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲛ̀ⲁⲑⲙⲟⲩ Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅.

فمنا امتلأ فرحاً ولساننا تهليلاً من أجل تناولنا من أسرارك غير المائتة يارب.

That which an eye has not seen, nor ear hear, neither have entered in the heart of man.

Ⲛⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉ ⲃⲁⲗ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ: ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉ ⲙⲁϣϫ ⲥⲟⲑⲙⲟⲩ: ⲟⲩⲇⲉ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ϩⲏⲧ ⲛ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲓ.

لأن ما لم تره عين ولم تسمع به أذن ولم يخطر على قلب بشر.

The things which Thou, O God, hast prepared for those who love Thine Holy Name, and hast revealed to the little children of Thine Holy Church.

Ⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲕⲥⲉⲃⲧⲱⲧⲟⲩ Ⲫϯ ⲛ̀ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲙⲉⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ: ⲁⲕϭⲟⲣⲡⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲁ̀ⲗⲱⲟⲩⲓ̀ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲉⲕⲕ̀ⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ̀ ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ.

ما أعددته يا الله لمحبى اسمك القدوس، هذا أعلنته للأطفال الصغار الذين لبيعتك المقدسة.

Yes, O Father, this is the pleasure before Thee, for Thou art merciful.

Ⲁϩⲁ Ⲫ̀ⲓⲱⲧ ϫⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲓϯⲙⲁϯ ⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲙ̀ⲑⲟ: ϫⲉ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲟⲩⲛⲁⲏⲧ ⲅⲁⲣ.

نعم أيها الآب إن هذه هى المسرة التى كانت أمامك لأنك رحيم.

We send up unto Thee Glory and Honor, O Father and Son and Holy Spirit.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲣⲡ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϣⲱⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲧⲁⲓⲟ̀: Ⲫ̀ⲓⲱⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲡ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲡⲓⲡ̀ⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁ ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ.

ونرسل لك إلى فوق المجد والإكرام أيها الآب والإبن والروح القدس.

Now, and at all times, and unto the age of all ages. Amen.

The priest says the prayer of the Laying of the Hands after the communion

Thy servants, O Lord, who are serving Thee, entreating Thine Holy Name and bowing down their heat to Thee.

Ⲛⲉⲕⲉ̀ⲃⲓⲁⲓⲕ Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲉⲧϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲕ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩϫⲱⲃⲥ ⲛ̀ϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲕ.

عبيدك يارب هؤلاء الذى يخدمونك ويطلبون اسمك القدوس ويخضعون لك.

Dwell in them, O Lord; walk among them; aid them in every good deed.

Ϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ: ⲙⲁⲧⲟⲕⲧ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛ̀ⲁ̀ⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ.

حل فيهم يارب وسر بينهم. ساعدهم فى كل عمل صالح.

Wake their heart from every vile earthly thought.

Ⲙⲁⲧⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲡⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗϩⲁ ⲙⲉⲩⲓ̀ ⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ.

انهض قلوبهم من كل فكر ردئ أرضى.

Grant them to live and think of what is pertaining to the living and understand the things that are Thine.

Ⲙⲏⲓⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲑⲣⲟⲩⲱⲛϧ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲙⲉⲩⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲛⲁ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲟⲛϧ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲕⲁϯ ⲉ̀ⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲕ.

امنحهم أن يحيوا ويفكروا فى ما للأحياء ويفهموا ما هو لك.

Through Thine Only-Begotten Son, our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲕⲙⲟⲛⲟⲅⲉⲛⲏⲥ ⲛ̀Ϣⲏⲣⲓ Ⲡⲉⲛⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ Ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ Ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ Ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ Ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ.

بابنك الوحيد ربنا وإلهنا ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح.

To whom we and all Thy people cry out saying: “Have mercy upon us, O God, our Saviour.”

Ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲉⲕⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉⲛⲱϣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲛϫⲱ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ: ϫⲉ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲁⲛ Ⲫϯ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ.

هذا الذى نحن وكل شعبك نصرخ قائلين: إرحمنا يا الله مخلصنا.

Ⲕⲩⲣⲓⲉ̀ ⲉ̀ⲗⲉⲏ̀ⲥⲟⲛ: Ⲕⲩⲣⲓⲉ̀ ⲉ̀ⲗⲉⲏ̀ⲥⲟⲛ: Ⲕⲩⲣⲓⲉ̀ ⲉ̀ⲗⲉⲏ̀ⲥⲟⲛ.

يارب ارحم. يارب ارحم. يارب ارحم.

The priest cleanses the vessels of the altar, holds some water in his hands and says

O angel of this sacrifice, flying up to the highest with this hymn, remember us before the Lord, that He may forgive us our sins.

Ⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲁⲓⲑⲩⲥⲓⲁ̀: ⲉⲧϩⲏⲗ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲁⲓϩⲩⲙⲛⲟⲥ: ⲁ̀ⲣⲓⲡⲉⲛⲙⲉⲩⲓ̀ ϧⲁⲧ̀ϩⲏ ⲙ̀Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅: ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲭⲁ ⲛⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ.

يا ملاك هذه الصعيدة الطائر إلى العلو بهذه التسبحة أذكرنا قدام الرب ليغفر لنا خطايانا.

The congregation says the Conclusion of the Service on page 52 and the priest says the Final Blessing on page 53. Then the priest gives permission for the congregation to leave and distributes the eulogion. Finally, the priest proceeds around the altar once and says Psalm forty six

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

Ⲛⲓⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲕⲱⲗϩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲧⲉⲛϫⲓϫ: ⲉ̀ϣ̀ⲗⲏⲗⲟⲩⲓ̀ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲥ̀ⲙⲏ ⲛ̀ⲑⲉⲗⲏⲗ.

يا جميع الأمم صفقوا بأيديكم. هللوا لله بصوت الإبتهاج.

For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

Ϫⲉ ϥ̀ϭⲟⲥⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ Ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥ̀ⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ϩⲟϯ: ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲡⲉ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲧⲏⲣϥ.

لأن الرب عال ومرهوب. ملك كبير على كافة الأرض.

He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

Ϩⲁⲛⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲑ̀ⲣⲟⲩϭ̀ⲛⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛϣ̀ⲗⲱⲗ ϧⲁ ⲛⲉⲛϭⲁⲗⲁⲩϫ.

أخضَع الشعوب لنا والأمم تحت أقدامنا.

He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved.

Ⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲡ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲕ̀ⲗⲏⲣⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ̀: ϯⲙⲉⲧⲥⲁⲓⲉ̀ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ ⲑⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥⲙⲉⲛⲣⲓⲧⲥ.

إختارنا ميراثاً له. جمال يعقوب الذى أحبه.

God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

Ⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲁϥ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ⲱϣⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲉ̀ϣ̀ⲗⲏⲗⲟⲩⲓ̀ ⲟⲩⲟϩ Ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲥ̀ⲙⲏ ⲛ̀ⲥⲁⲗⲡⲓⲅⲅⲟⲥ.

صعد الله بتهليل. والرب بصوت البوق.

Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. God reigneth over the heathen.

رتلوا لإلهنا رتلوا. رتلوا لملكنا رتلوا. لأن الرب هو ملك الأرض كلها. رتلوا بفهم. لأن الرب ملك على جميع الأمم.

God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham.

Ϥ̀ϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡⲉϥⲑ̀ⲣⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ: ϩⲁⲛⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲁⲩⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛ̀Ⲁⲃⲣⲁⲁⲙ.

الله جلس على كرسيه المقدس. رؤساء الشعوب إجتمعوا مع إله إبراهيم.

For the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted. Alleluia.

Ϫⲉ ⲁⲩϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲉ̀ⲙⲁϣⲱ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲁ̀ⲙⲁϩⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ: ⲁⲗⲗⲏⲗⲟⲩⲓⲁ̀.

لأن أعزاء الله قد إرتعوا فى الأرض جداً. هلليلويا.
