Prayer for the Congregations

Priest

Again, let us ask God the Pantocrator, the Father of our Lord, God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Ⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ ⲟⲛ ⲙⲁⲣⲉⲛϯϩⲟ ⲉ̀Ⲫϯ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲛⲧⲟⲕⲣⲁⲧⲱⲣ: Ⲫ̀ⲓⲱⲧ ⲙ̀Ⲡⲉⲛⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ Ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ Ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ Ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ.

وأيضاً فلنسأل الله ضابط الكل أبا ربنا وإلهنا ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح.

We ask and entreat Thy Goodness, O Lover of mankind.

Ⲧⲉⲛϯϩⲟ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲧⲉⲛⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲕⲙⲉⲧⲁ̀ⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲓⲣⲱⲙⲓ.

نسأل ونطلب من صلاحك يا محب البشر.

Remember, O Lord, our congregations.

Ⲁⲣⲓⲫ̀ⲙⲉⲩⲓ̀ Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲛϫⲓⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ.

أذكر يا رب أذكر يا رب اجتماعاتنا.

The priest signs the congregation once and says

Bless them.

Ⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ.

Pray for this holy church and for our congregations.

Ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲝⲁⲥⲑⲉ ⲩ̀ⲡⲉⲣ ⲧⲏⲥ ⲁ̀ⲅⲓⲁⲥ ⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁⲥ ⲧⲁⲩⲧⲏⲥ ⲕⲉ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲥⲩⲛⲉ̀ⲗⲉⲩⲥⲉⲱⲛ ⲏ̀ⲙⲱⲛ.

صلوا من أجل هذه الكنيسة المقدسة واجتماعاتنا.

Congregation

Lord have mercy.

Ⲕⲩⲣⲓⲉ̀ ⲉ̀ⲗⲉⲏ̀ⲥⲟⲛ.

يا رب ارحم.

The priest holds the censer and says

Grant that they may be unto us without obstacle or hindrance, that we may hold them according to Thine holy and blessed will.

Ⲙⲏⲓⲥ ⲉⲑⲣⲟⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ⲁⲧⲉⲣⲕⲱⲗⲓⲛ ⲛ̀ⲁⲧⲧⲁϩⲛⲟ: ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲛⲁⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲡⲉⲕⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉ̅ⲑ̅ⲩ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲕⲁⲣⲓⲟⲛ.

أعط أن تكون لنا بغير مانع ولا عائق لنصنعها كمشيئتك المقدسة الطوباوية.

The priest censes towards the four sides of the altar in form of a cross starting from the east, west, north and then south, and says

Houses of prayer, houses of purity, houses of blessing: grant them unto us, O Lord, and Thy servants who shall come after us forever.

Ϩⲁⲛⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲉⲩⲭⲏ: ϩⲁⲛⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ: ϩⲁⲛⲏⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ: ⲁ̀ⲣⲓⲭⲁⲣⲓⲍⲉⲥⲑⲉ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲛ Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲉⲕⲉ̀ⲃⲓⲁⲓⲕ ⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲱⲛ ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ⲛⲉϩ.

بيوت صلاة، بيوت طهارة، بيوت بركة. أنعم بها يا رب علينا وعلى عبيدك الآتين بعدنا إلى الأبد.

The priest may choose to continue and say

The worship of idols, utterly uproot from the world.

Ϯⲙⲉⲧϣⲁⲙϣⲉ ⲓ̀ⲇⲱⲗⲟⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩϫⲱⲕ ϥⲟϫⲥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ.

عبادة الأوثان بالكمال أقلعها من العالم.

Satan and all his evil powers do Thou trample and humiliate under our feet speedily.

Ⲡ̀ⲥⲁⲧⲁⲛⲁⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ϫⲟⲙ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲧⲁϥ: ϧⲉⲙϧⲱⲙⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁⲑⲉⲃⲓⲱ̀ⲟⲩ: ⲥⲁⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲛϭⲁⲗⲁⲩϫ ⲛ̀ⲭⲱⲗⲉⲙ.

الشيطان وكل قواته الشريرة اسحقهم وأذلهم تحت أقدامنا سريعاً.

All offences and their instigators do Thou abolish. May all dissensions of corrupt heresies cease.

Ⲛⲓⲥ̀ⲕⲁⲛⲇⲁⲗⲟⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲓ̀ⲣⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲕⲟⲣϥⲟⲩ: ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲕⲏⲛ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲫⲱⲣϫ ⲙ̀ⲡ̀ⲧⲁⲕⲟ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲓϩⲉⲣⲉⲥⲓⲥ.

الشكوك وفاعلوها ابطلهم. ولينقض افتراق فساد البدع.

The enemies of Thine Holy Church, O Lord, as at all times, now also humiliate.

Ⲛⲓϫⲁϫⲓ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧⲉⲕⲉⲕⲕ̀ⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲉ̅ⲑ̅ⲩ̅ Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅: ⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ ⲛ̀ⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲙⲁⲑⲉⲃⲓⲱ̀ⲟⲩ.

أعداء كنيستك المقدسة يارب مثل كل زمان والآن أذلهم.

Strip their vanity; show them their weakness speedily.

Ⲃⲱⲗ ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧϭⲁⲥⲓϩⲏⲧ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ: ⲙⲁⲧⲁⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧϫⲱⲃ ⲛ̀ⲭⲱⲗⲉⲙ.

حل تعاظمهم. عرفهم ضعفهم سريعاً.

Bring to naught their envy, their intrigues, their madness, their wickedness and their slander, which they commit against us.

Ⲕⲱⲣϥ ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲫ̀ⲑⲟⲛⲟⲥ ⲛⲟⲩⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲃⲟⲩⲗⲏ: ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛⲕⲁⲛⲓⲁ̀ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲁⲕⲟⲩⲣⲅⲓⲁ̀ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲁⲧⲁⲗⲁⲗⲓⲁ̀: ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲓ̀ⲣⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲁⲣⲟⲛ.

أبطل حسدهم وسعايتهم وجنونهم وشرهم ونميمتهم التى يصنعونها فينا.

O Lord, bring them all to no avail. Disperse their counsel, O God, Who dispersed the counsel of Ahithophel.

Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲁ̀ⲣⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲁⲡⲣⲁⲕⲧⲟⲛ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϫⲱⲣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩⲥⲟϭⲛⲓ: Ⲫϯ ⲫⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥϫⲱⲣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲡ̀ⲥⲟϭⲛⲓ ⲛ̀Ⲁ̀ⲭⲓⲧⲟⲫⲉⲗ.

يارب اجعلهم كلهم كلا شئ. وبدد مشورتهم يا الله الذى بدد مشورة أخيتوفل.

Congregation

Lord have mercy.

Ⲕⲩⲣⲓⲉ̀ ⲉ̀ⲗⲉⲏ̀ⲥⲟⲛ.

يا رب ارحم.

The priest censes three times towards the east of the altar and says

Arise, O Lord God. Let all Thine enemies be scattered, and let all that hate Thine Holy Name flee before Thy face.

Ⲧⲱⲛⲕ Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲫϯ: ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩϫⲱⲣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲕϫⲁϫⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ: ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩⲫⲱⲧ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲁⲧ̀ϩⲏ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕϩⲟ: ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲑⲙⲟⲥϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ.

قم أيها الرب الاله وليتفرق جميع أعدائك وليهرب من قدام وجهك كل مبغضى إسمك القدوس.

The priest looks towards the west, offers incense to the priests, deacons and congregation, and says

But let Thy people be in blessing: thousands of thousands, and ten thousand time ten thousands, doing Thy will.

Ⲡⲉⲕⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲇⲉⲙⲁⲣⲉϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ: ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛⲁⲛϣⲟ ⲛ̀ϣⲟ ⲛⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲛⲑ̀ⲃⲁ ⲛ̀ⲑ̀ⲃⲁ ⲉⲩⲓ̀ⲣⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲟⲩⲱϣ.

وأما شعبك فليكن بالبركة الوف الوف وربوات ربوات يصنعون ارادتك.

Then the priest looks towards the east, offers incense three times towards the east and says

By the grace …

Ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓϩ̀ⲙⲟⲧ ...

بالنعمة والرأفات ...

Deacon

In the wisdom of God, let us attend. Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. In truth.

Ⲉⲛ ⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ̀ Ⲑⲉⲟⲩ ⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲥⲭⲱⲙⲉⲛ: Ⲕⲩⲣⲓⲉ̀ ⲉ̀ⲗⲉⲏ̀ⲥⲟⲛ: Ⲕⲩⲣⲓⲉ̀ ⲉ̀ⲗⲉⲏ̀ⲥⲟⲛ: ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ.

انصتوا بحكمة الله يارب ارحم. يارب ارحم بالحقيقة.
