The priest looks towards the west, signs the congregation with the sign of the cross and says

The Lord be with you all.

الرب مع جميعكم.

ومع روحك أيضا.

The priest signs the clergy and says

Lift up your hearts.

ارفعوا قلوبكم.

هى عند الرب.

The priest signs himself and says

Let us give thanks to the Lord.

فلنشكر الرب.

أيها الكائن السيد الرب إله الحق.

Being before the ages and reigning forever.

الكائن قبل الدهور والمالك إلى الأبد.

Who dwells in the highest and looks upon the lowly.

Ⲫⲏⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲏⲉⲧϭⲟⲥⲓ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲧϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲏⲉⲧⲑⲉⲃⲓⲏ̀ⲟⲩⲧ.

الساكن فى الأعالى والناظر إلى المتواضعين.

Who has created the heaven, the earth, the sea and all that is therein.

Ⲫⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ̀ ⲛ̀ⲧ̀ⲫⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲫ̀ⲓⲟⲙ: ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.

الذى خلق السماء والأرض والبحر وكل ما فيها.

The Father of our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Ⲫ̀ⲓⲱⲧ ⲙ̀Ⲡⲉⲛⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲟϩ Ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ Ⲡⲉⲛⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ Ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ Ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ.

أبو ربنا وإلهنا ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح.

By whom Thou hast created all things, seen and unseen.

Ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲕⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ̀ ⲙ̀ⲡ̀ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗϩⲓⲧⲟⲧϥ: ⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛ̀ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ.

هذا الذى خلقت به كل شئ ما يرى وما لا يرى.

Who sits upon the throne of His glory.

الجالس على كرسى مجده.

And Who is worshipped by all the holy powers.

Before Whom stand the angels, the archangels, the principalities, the authorities, the thrones, the dominions and the powers.

الذى يقف أمامه الملائكة ورؤساء الملائكة ، الرئاسات والسلطات والكراسى والأرباب والقوات.

وإلى الشرق انظروا.

Priest

Thou art He around whom stand the Cherubim full of eyes, and the Seraphim with six wings praising continuously without ceasing saying.

أنت هو الذى يقف حولك الشاروبيم الممتلئون أعيناً، والسيرافيم ذوو الستة أجنحة، يسبحون دائماً بغير سكوت قائلين.

The congregation responds with the Aspasmos Watos according to the occation. For annual days, the congregation responds with the short Aspasmos and says

The Cherubim worship Thee, and the Seraphim glorify Thee, Proclaiming and saying:

The congregation may choose the long annual Aspasmos Watos instead and says

O Lord, God of hosts, return and look from heaven, and see and tend this vine, and confirm it. This whom Thy right hand has planted.

أيها الرب إله القوات إرجع وإطَّلع من السماء وأنظر وتعهد هذه الكرمة، أصلحها وثبتها. هذه التى غرستها يمينك.

From 10th of Babah to the 10th of Touba, the congregation says

Bless the seeds and the herbs.

Ⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲛⲓⲥⲓϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲥⲓⲙ.

بارك الزروع والعشب.

From 11th of Touba to the 11th of Baouna, the congregation says

Bless the air of heaven.

Ⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲛⲓⲁ̀ⲏⲣ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲧ̀ⲫⲉ.

بارك أهوية السماء.

From 12th of Baouna to the 9th of Babah, the congregation says

Bless the waters of the rivers.

Ⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀ⲛⲓⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲓⲁⲣⲟ.

بارك مياه النهر.

The priest puts down the corporal in his left hand on the altar, and moves the one in his right hand to the left hand. Then, he holds the corporal covering the chalice in his right hand. The priest signs three times with his right hand. In the first time, he signs himself. In the second time, he signs the clergy. In the third time, he signs the congregation while towards the west. In every time, he says

Holy.

Ⲁ̀ⲅⲓⲟⲥ.

قدوس.

If another priest is present, he proceeds once around the altar with the censer. Then the priest covers the chalice and says

Holy, Holy, Holy, truly O Lord, our God.

Ⲭ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲭ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲭ̀ⲟⲩⲁⲃ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ.

قدوس قدوس قدوس بالحقيقة أيها الرب إلهنا.

Who formed us, created us and placed us in the Paradise of Joy.

Ⲫⲏⲉ̀ⲧϥⲉⲣⲡ̀ⲗⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟⲛ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲭⲁⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲡⲁⲣⲁⲇⲓⲥⲟⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲛⲟϥ.

الذى جبلنا وخلقنا ووضعنا فى فردوس النعيم.

When we disobeyed Thy commandment by the guile of the serpent, we fell from eternal life, and were exiled from the paradise of joy.

وعندما خالفنا وصيتك بغواية الحية سقطنا من الحياة الأبدية ونفينا من فردوس النعيم.

Thou hast not abandoned us to the end, but hast always visited us through Thine holy prophets.

Ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲕⲭⲁⲛ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱⲕ ⲟⲛ ϣⲁ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ: ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲕϫⲉⲙⲡⲉⲛϣⲓⲛⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲛ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲕⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ.

فلم تتركنا عنك أيضاً إلى الإنقضاء بل تعهدتنا دائماً بأنبيائك القديسين.

And in the last days, Thou didst manifest Thyself to us, who were sitting in darkness and the shadow of death.

وفى آخر الأيام ظهرت لنا نحن الجلوس فى الظلمة وظلال الموت.

The deacon holds up the censer, and the priest adds one scoop of incense and says

Was incarnate and became man, and taught us the ways of salvation.

Ⲁϥϭⲓⲥⲁⲣⲝ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲣⲱⲙⲓ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧ̀ⲥⲁⲃⲟⲛ ⲉ̀ϩⲁⲛⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ.

تجسد وتأنس وعلمنا طرق الخلاص.

He granted us the birth from on high through water and Spirit.

Ⲉⲁϥⲉⲣⲭⲁⲣⲓⲍⲉⲥⲑⲉ ⲛⲁⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲙⲓⲥⲓ ⲡⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̀ⲡ̀ϣⲱⲓ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲡ̀ⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁ.

وأنعم علينا بالميلاد الذى من فوق بواسطة الماء والروح.

He made us unto himself a congregation, and sanctified us by Thine Holy Spirit.

Ⲁϥⲁⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲉϥⲑⲟⲩⲏⲧ: ⲁϥⲑ̀ⲣⲉⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲉⲛⲟⲩⲁⲃ: ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉⲕⲠ̀ⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁ ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ.

وجعلنا له شعباً مجتمعاً وصيرنا أطهاراً بروحك القدوس.

He loved his own who are in the world, and gave himself up for our salvation unto death which reigned over us, whereby we were bound and sold on account of our sins.

Ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥⲙⲉⲛⲣⲉ ⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲟⲩϥ ⲉⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ: ⲁϥⲧⲏⲓϥ ⲙ̀ⲙⲓⲛ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϯ ϧⲁⲣⲟⲛ: ⲉⲫ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲧⲟⲓ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲉ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲱⲛ: ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲩⲁ̀ⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗϩⲓⲧⲟⲧϥ: ⲉⲛⲧⲟⲓ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ.

هذا الذى أحب خاصته الذين فى العالم وأسلم ذاته فداء عنا إلى الموت الذى تملك علينا هذا الذى كنا ممسكين به مبيعين من قبل خطايانا.

Ⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲁϥ ⲉ̀ⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲉ̀ⲁ̀ⲙⲉⲛϯ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗϩⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ.

نزل إلى الجحيم من قبل الصليب.

وقام من الأموات فى اليوم الثالث.

He ascended into the heavens and sat at Thy right hand, O Father.

Ⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲁϥ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϣⲱⲓ ⲉ̀ⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩⲓ̀: ⲁϥϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ⲥⲁⲧⲉⲕⲟⲩⲓ̀ⲛⲁⲙ Ⲫ̀ⲓⲱⲧ.

وصعد إلى السموات وجلس وعن يمينك أيها الآب.

He has appointed a day for recompense, on which He will appear to judge the world in righteousness and give each one according to his deeds.

Ⲉⲁϥⲑⲱϣ ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ϯϣⲉⲃⲓⲱ̀: ⲫⲁⲓ ⲉ̀ⲧⲉϥⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧϥ: ⲉ̀ϯϩⲁⲡ ⲉ̀ϯⲟⲓⲕⲟⲩⲙⲉⲛⲏ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲇⲓⲕⲉⲟ̀ⲥⲩⲛⲏ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϥ̀ⲛⲁϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲛⲉϥϩ̀ⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ̀.

ورسم يوماً للمجازاة هذا الذى يظهر فيه ليدين المسكونة بالعدل ويعطى كل واحد كأعماله.

Ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲧⲟ ⲉ̀ⲗⲉⲟⲥ ⲥⲟⲩ Ⲕⲩⲣⲓⲉ̀: ⲕⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲕⲁⲧⲁ ⲧⲁⲥ ⲁ̀ⲙⲁⲣⲧⲓⲁⲥ ⲏ̀ⲙⲱⲛ.

كرحمتك يا رب ولا كخطايانا.
