First Absolution of the Son

Meanwhile, the priest holds the cross, looks towards the east and says the three absolutions to the Son. The priest says

Yea, Lord, the Lord, Who has given authority unto us to tread upon serpents and scorpions and upon all the power of the enemy.

Ⲥⲉ Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ ⲫⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥϯ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⲛⲁⲛ: ⲉ̀ϩⲱⲙⲓ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲓϩⲟϥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓϭ̀ⲗⲏ: ⲛⲉⲙ ⲉ̀ϫⲉⲛ ϯϫⲟⲙ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲡⲓϫⲁϫⲓ.

نعم يا رب يا رب الذى أعطانا السلطان أن ندوس الحيات والعقارب وكل قوة العدو.

Crush his heads beneath our feet speedily, and scatter before us his every design of wickedness that is against us.

Ϧⲟⲙϧⲉⲙ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥⲁ̀ⲫⲏⲟⲩⲓ̀: ⲥⲁⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲛϭⲁⲗⲁⲩϫ ⲛ̀ⲭⲱⲗⲉⲙ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϫⲱⲣ ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲛ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲛⲟⲓⲁ̀ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲙ̀ⲙⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲧϯ ⲟⲩⲃⲏⲛ.

اسحق رأسه تحت أقدامنا سريعا وبدد عنا كل معقولاته الشريرة المقاومة لنا.

For Thou art King of us all, O Christ, our God.

Ϫⲉ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⲧⲏⲣⲉⲛ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ.

لأنك أنت هو ملكنا أيها المسيح إلهنا.

And Thou art He to whom we ascribe the glory and the honour, O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the Life-Giver, Who is of One Essence with Thee.

Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱⲣⲡ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϣⲱⲓ: ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲧⲁⲓⲟ̀ ⲛⲉⲙ ϯⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲥⲕⲩⲛⲏⲥⲓⲥ: ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲡⲉⲕⲓⲱⲧ ⲛ̀ⲁ̀ⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲡⲓⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ ⲛ̀ⲣⲉϥⲧⲁⲛϧⲟ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛ̀ⲟ̀ⲙⲟⲟⲩⲥⲓⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲕ.

وأنت الذى نرسل لك إلى فوق المجد والإكرام أيها الآب والابن والروح القدس المحيى المساوى لك.

Now, and at all times, and unto the age of all ages. Amen.
