After the intercession of the Virgin Mary, the congregation says

Through the prayers of the righteous and perfect men, Joeseph and Nicodemus, and Saint Mary Magdalene, O Lord, grant us the forgiveness of our sins.

Today the prophecies are fulfilled, and the sayings of the forefathers have been completed.

اليوم قد كملت النبوات، وقد تمت اقوال الآباء الاولين.

By the Resurrection of the Lord from the dead, and He is the beginning of the resurrected.

بقيامة الرب من بين الأموات، وهو بدء المضطجعين.

قد قام الرب مثل النائم، وكالثمل من الخمرة.

ووهبنا النعيم الدائم، وعتقنا من العبودية المرة.

And brought Hades to captivity, and destroyed the copper doors.

وسبى الجحيم سبياً، وحطم أبوابه النحاس.

And broke its iron bars, and replaced the punishment with salvation.

وكسر متاريسه الحديد كسراً، وأبدل لنا العقوبة بالخلاص.

And brought back Adam to Paradise, with joy, gladness, and happiness.

وأعاد آدم إلي الفردوس، بفرح وبهجة ومسرة.

Him and his sons who were in captivity, to the joy once more.

هو وبنيه الذين كانوا فى الحبوس، محل النعيم دفعة أخري.

Today the flags of salvation spread, The bodies and the spirits were renewed.

اليوم إنتشرت اعلام الخلاص، وتجددت الأجسام والأرواح.

And the believers won the clemency for retribution, and glorified God with praises and joy.

وفاز المؤمنون بالصفح عن القصاص، ومجدوا الله بالتسابيح والأفراح.

Today the daughter of David rejoiced, and the hearts of the righteous apostles became glad.

اليوم إبتهجت إبنة داود، وتهللت قلوب الرسل الأبرار.

When the women announced to them the fulfilling of what was promised, and what they heard from the pure angels.

حينما بشرتهم النسوة بتمام الموعود، وما سمعوه من الملائكة الأطهار.

That Jesus Christ is risen, “But He is not here as you see.”

أن يسوع المسيح قد قام، ليس هو ههنا كما تران.

So the women went to His honored disciples and announced to them, the Resurrection of the Creator of all things.

فذهبت النسوة وبشرت تلاميذه الكرام، بقيامة خالق البرايا أجمعين.

And He appeared to His disciples and gave them joy, with delight they saw Him transfiguring.

وظهر لتلاميذه وأبهجهم، ببهاء نظره متجلياً.

By the glory of His divinity and He made them happy, when they saw Him alive.

بمجد لاهوته وأفرحهم، لما شاهدوه حيّاً.

We praise and increase His exaltation, and confess the glory of His Resurrection.

نسبحه ونزيد رفعته، ونعترف بمجد قيامته.

We thank Him for His great grace, for His mercy endures forever.

ونشكره علي عظيم نعمته، لأن إلي الأبد رحمته.

The priests and the deacons enter the sanctuary, curtains are pulled down, all the lights are turned out and one deacon stays outside the sanctuary. The deacon outside the sanctuary says three times

Christ has risen.

Truly He is risen.

We, the believers, praise and worship the Word, one with the Father and the Spirit in eternity and without beginning, who was born of the Virgin for our salvation, for He agreed and accepted to go up on the cross, suffer death in the flesh and raise those who died, by His glorious resurrection.

نسبح نحن المؤمنين ونمجد الكلمة المساوى للآب والروح فى الأزلية وعدم الإبتداء، المولود من العذراء لخلاصنا، لأنه سُرَّ وإرتضى بالجسد أن يعلو على الصليب، ويحتمل الموت وينهض الموتى بقيامتة المجيدة.

While the stone was sealed by the Jews and Your holy body was guarded by the soldiers You arose on the third day O Savior, granting life to the world.

For that reason the heavenly hosts cry out to You, O Doner of life "Glory be to Your Resurrection O Christ, glory be to Your kingdom, glory be to Your planning, You are the only Lover of mankind."

O Christ our Savior, the angels in heaven praise Your Resurrection, therefore we ask You to make us worthy, we who are on earth, to glorify You forever with pure hearts.
