Doxology of the Eve of the Feast of the Nativity

Today all the creations, saw a great illuminating light, because the divine appearance, that was revealed to us.

رأيت الخليقة كلها اليوم مضيئة بلمعان عظيم، من اجل الظهور الإلهى، الذى اعلن لنا.

* For the Incorporeal was incarnate, and the Virgin gave birth to Him, like everyone else, but as God as well as man.

لأن غير المتجسد تجسد، ولدته العذراء، مثل كل احد، إلهاً وانسانا.

Bethlehem the city of David, takes pride with joy, for she received to herself in the flesh, He who is on the Cherubim.

بيت لحم مدينة داود، تفتخر بتهليل، لأنها حملت جسديا، الذى على الشاروبيم.

* THE BEING before the ages, the only Creator, the destroyer of the bond of sin, was wrapped in sackcloth.

الكائن الذى كان، والمبدع وحده، القاطع رباط الخطية، لُف بخرق.

Mary the Virgin, and Joseph and Salome, marveled very much, when they saw Him.

العذراء مريم، ويوسف وسالومى، تعجبوا جداً، ممن رأوه.

* The heavenly hosts, praise on earth, this holy song, proclaiming and saying.

العساكر السماوية، تسبح على الأرض منشده، بهذا التسبيح المقدس، صارخه قائلة.

Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, and good will toward men, for He came and saved us.

المجد لله فى الأعالى، وعلى الأرض السلام، وفى الناس المسرة، لأنه اتى وخلصنا.

* The shepherds in the fields, came and worshiped Him, and we too worship Him, and also testify.

الرعاة الذين فى الحقل، اتوا وسجدوا له، ونحن ايضاً نسجد له، ونشهد له.

That He came into the world, and was born from the Virgin, and saved our race, from the evil Devil.

انه اتى الى العالم، ووُلد من العذراء، وخلص جنسنا، من إبليس الشرير.

* We praise and glorify Him, and exalt Him above all, as a good One and Lover of man, have mercy upon us according to Your great mercy.

نسبحه ونمجده، ونزيده علواً، كصالح ومحب البشر، ارحمنا كعظيم رحمتك.
