Transfer of the Relics of St. Chrysostom (of the Golden Mouth)
On this day also the church commemorates the transfer of the relics of St. John Chrysostom (of the Golden Mouth) from the city of Komanah, where he died in exile, to Constantinople thirty years after his departure, which was in the year 437 A.D. during the reign of Emperor Theodosius the Small. May his prayers and blessings be with us all, and Glory be to God forever. Amen.
